Best Shooter?

Yep.

Sig 226 in .40. Shoots like a laser in my hand :D

I have some other guns that are mechanically accurate, such as a Browning Hi-Power and Ruger Single Six. But I can't HIT with them.

Most of my others I am average with, some a little batter, some worse. But, as I said. Sig 226 .40...ANY gopher out to 35 yards is dead....period.

1st place. My 686 6". It gets the tightest groups at the longest distances, hands down. The only time I EVER grouped at less than 3" at 25 yards (5 10s, 2x, 1 9) was with that gun.

2nd place. My full size 1911. On a good day I can put 'em all in one big hole at 10 yards.

3rd place. My 617-1 4".

After that comes everything else.

Gee, I'm unsure. I shoot .22, 9mm, .38 Spl, 357 SIG, and .45 ACP. It depends on the gun and the day. Now, I don't shoot a handgun beyond 25 yards. Some days I'm just sighting in and some days I'm doing double taps on multiple targets.

But I have done quite well in 357 SIG with my SIG P239 and P226 because this caliber shoots so flat and the recoil is quite manageable. I shoot .45 ACP fairly well in revolver and semi-auto. Again, the recoil is something I'm used to. It's sort of a friendly push. I guess I shoot my S&W PC JM M625 in a 5" barrel the best of my revolvers. My M25 is close, though. The H&K USP45 Expert is probably the semi-auto I shoot best. Most days I'm still pretty hot with my SIG P228 in 9mm, but that and the replacement P229 has been my issue handgun for years. But I also have a CZ 75B that feels good in my hand and have done nearly as well with it.

I don't normally plink. But I would choose my M17 or M617 if I did. They are amazingly accurate for me. When I shoot at my brother's farm, I can keep his metal target disks spinning until I need to reload.

The worst handgun for me is the Glock. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this pistol, but I just can't get used to the grip. It's like holding a t-square for me. That's why I've never shot it well and why I don't own a Glock.

Aside from my Contenders the one I shot the best is my Dan Wesson 722. I'm alittle ahead of the curve with my 357 snub and I'm getting quite friendly with my new Eaa 45 carry comp.

S&W Model 14

My best is my S&W model 14 with a 6" barrel. Hands down the easiest to shoot and most accurate to date of all of our handguns.
I just bought an old K-22 masterpiece in a 6" (1950 vintage). It's at S&W getting tuned and refinished right now. I expect it back in about 2 weeks and then it'll be my most accurate for sure.

My bullseye competition gun - a .22 Walther GSP Expert - is far and away the most accurate. It came from the factory with a 5-shot target fired at 25 yards. The target is only a couple inches square and there's a single hole, just a little ragged, in the center. No, I can't duplicate that, but it's not the gun's fault.

My most accurate handgun, and the one with which I’m most accurate too, is a Ruger SA 22 with 6” barrel which I bought for $74 new and that says how old it is (current model is almost $500 MSRP).

I shot a snake in the head at ten feet, which is exceedingly accurate for me.

I have gotten to the point where I shoot every thing pretty well. I can even shoot pretty good groups at 25 yards with a snub. I have found though there are some factors that do limit my ability. weight is a factor get much under 20oz it becomes hard to hold still.like wise when they get above 40oz my arms will tire faster. Trigger is also a factor but not a big factor to me as long as it's consistant and not too heavy even stock sprung DA revolvers don't pose too much of a accuracy problem. Sight picture make some difference I'd prefer a nice undercut front sight to give me nice sahrp corners for the best accuracy. Fiber optics and three dots (nights included) I like for speed but I tend to have trouble shooting really tight groups with them. lastly is sight radius shorter guns will amplify your sighting error but it becomes a matter of deminishing returns off-hand.also red dots and lasers are cheating (JK) they put everything on one focal plane.

Hi,

1. Without out a double my S&W model 10 4 inch Service Revolver.
2. Ruger Police Service Six 4 inch Service Revolver.
3. S&W model 66 4 inch Service Revolver.

Those are my top three on what I shoot the best. I do have semi-autos and other revolvers but to me these are my "go to guns".

Regards,

Far and away my most accurate revolver is my 6" Python, followed by my S&W Model 617.
My most accurate autoloader is my Kimber Custom Defender II in .45ACP. Second would be my CZ-75BD 9mm.
