Best powder for 95 grain SST in 243

In my 243, 75 and 87gr Hornadys shot .2" with IMR 4064. They shot to the same POI, but I loaded about a grain from max loads. On thing I immediately noticed was seating depth with the long Hornadys.

Tweaking for best accuracy is one of the main reasons to get into handloading to begin with!

And if my hunting rifle would only do"2 to 3 inches at 100 yards", they'd be listed for sale faster than they could hit the floor!

My 243 win rem 700 loves h4350. With 95 gr Sierra matchkings best accuracy was at starting charge 39.5 gr. A 5 shot group CTC netted a whopping .273" at a hundred yards.

This was used for initial sight in, and still use this load. As long as I do my math correctly it hasn't missed it's mark. It's taken many groundhogs from 75 yards to over 500. The Nikon bdc scope helps.

With 95gr nosler partitions it was at the max charge of 42gr. Groups were right around .300 for 5 shots. Ironically to switch between the two, if zeroed for the match Kings, this load is 1 inch high and 1 inch left of center.
