Best looking revolvers

There are many striking examples....the ruger Blackhawk is a fine-looking gun, so are the old Smiths such as pictured above(although I don't like the factory grips as far as looks go...) i agree with an earlier post about the Colt official police...simple, clean lines which is one reason I own and shoot one...and as the old single-action Colts are concerned...'elegance'...SAA, Army, Navy..sorry , although the Python is a fine shooting gun, i can't warm up to it as far as looks go...vent makes gun look blocky...

Personally I think single actions look better, Ruger Blackhawks and Colt SAA especially. However all S&Ws, Ruger Redhawks, and Colt Anaconda/Python are all great looking DA wheelguns.

Oops!

Bullrock...

First post in the revo-forum...What a great bunch of guys and gals...

What nicely blued S&W model is that you have? Is that a .357 or a .44? I (27 yrs old, go figure!) am looking for my first revolver, and was really looking for a full underlug 4" .44mag, in stainless. But, yours is gorgeous in the blue finish. All I can seem to find is the 5" underlug BBL? There is something so beautiful about a well balanced revolver! Thanks for any replies.

Hi Honest Abe, Welcome to TFL!!!

The blued SW above on this page is an old model 19. That is a .357 and unless you live in a gun rich area (I don't) the best place to find one is on the Internet @ auctionarms.com or gunbroker.com.

The other one you may be referring to is a SW 586-7 in .357/.38Spl, 7 shot. I understand that they are also no longer being made, but you can still find them NIB... :D

Calling Mr. Bullrock!

Bullrock:

1)That is a SWEET Model 19 that you have there! :)

2)What dash number is it?

3)Had it been fired whenever you first had received it?

4)I just bought my first M19 yesterday(An M19-3, made in 1975)! I'll be posting pictures of it here, after I pick it up from a local gun shop in ten days!

5)NOTE: See, I told you that you were going to always, "Beat me to the punch"! I'm still having to run to keep up with your gun purchases! :o

6)How about posting some more(Close-up)pictures of your Model 19-as I'd sure like to see them, showing your gun from all angles? Thanks! :D

Hey Boa

It's a 19-5. It has been fired once or twice. Very light markings on the cylinder. The steel and grips are Like New. I can't find a scratch on it. I'd rate it 'excellent' at 99%. I bought it from a shop in Weare, NH...

I'll take more pics in a few days. In the meantime enjoy your new 19. I'll be looking for some good model 19 porn. Usually guys my age drop out of the race first, so keep on running... ;)

Hey, Bullrock!

Bullrock:

1)I'm sure that you're tough enough to run rings around me(Even at your youthful age of 70!)! :p

2)Do you know when your 19-5 was made? If you don't, email me your serial number and I'll look it up in my S&W book(Or, do you already have one?)?

3)Yes, I'll be looking forward to those pictures of your 19-5? :D

4)I'm going to give you the best Model 19 "Porn" show that I could possibly give-as soon as I've got my 19-3 in my hands?

5)I had to pay $450(Here in CA!)for my 19-3! May I ask you what you needed to pay for your 19-5?

I think this version of the 627 is one of the best lookin’ revolvers around.

Is S&W ever going to produce these again?
