Best line used for buying yet another firearm

I don't have one.

The last two guns I have purchased have been as a result of her saying the following two things....


"Your Father's Day present is permission to go buy yourself a new gun in the $800 range."

"You haven't gotten a new gun in a long time. Go buy yourself a .30-30."
 
When we first got married we discussed it, now she buys what she wants I buy what I want, within reason.

But if it is a serious $ purchase, it's for the daughter.......
 
It's an investment
Guns and jewelry are better than the stockmarket. Buy good stuff and put it in the safe, make money later.

That's how I look at it. Her jewelry and my fire arms have at least kept up with inflation, and in many cases much better. We joke about who well hit the jackpot first, her selling my guns or me selling her jewelry.:eek:
 
For years I went to the trouble to come up with good reasons for another gun......like it's smaller, bigger, stainless, polymer, high capacity, etc.

Now that I have used about every excuse I finally found that just saying "I just want this new gun because it's neat and I like it a lot" actually works.
 
If you are married

1) I don't want to die from lack of being able to shoot back.

2a) This one is for the winter.:) 2b) The last one was for next spring.:)
2c) And the other two are for next season when the new styles come out.:D:D
 
I just tell her I bought another gun. Sometimes she asks if I needed it and I say no, but I wanted it. Most of the time she just say OK if thats what you want.
 
These days when I go to a show without her (and thats not that common) when I get back I hear "what did you get this time?" And then I show her. Mostly I get a "hmm thats nice" or "pretty wood". I really like it when she says "oohhh pretty!"

I'm still waiting for the "oh nice, thanks! now go get something for yourself!"

We must have married twins. By the way I have heard thats nice thanks for getting me that Sig P232:eek: Loves her Glocks too and is very protective of her Italian made 92fs.;)
