Best light weight 20ga. Auto

They are both long recoil action, but the similarity stops there. Franchi is MUCH lighter and has no big hump and is still in production.
 
My 20 gauge AL48 comes in at 5lb.10 oz. add another 5 oz. for five shells.

That's with a 28 inch vent rib barrel, shorter barreled guns will be slightly lighter.
 
Another vote for the Franchi 48. If anyone has a vent rib barrel to get rid of, let me know. The "bead" on the plain barrels is just goofy.
 
I have a 48AL deluxe 20ga and it is a pleasure to tote & shoot. Might be even nicer to look at with the Circassian walnut :D. I find it a very able mate to my only other 20ga, a BSS 20 with 26" barrels.
