Best IWB for Commander

Milt sparks summer special is good, but i prefer their vm2.
A lot of folks do. I have one but use my SS2 90 percent of the time. Less bulk, faster on and off, and is stable enough for me.

Well they don't make them anymore but i own a Blade-Tech Phantom IWB holster, it's a minimalist holster with a sweat guard, i own one and wished that Blade-Tech didn't discontinue making them because i would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Bet you could get one of the custom kydex holster boys to craft one for you. IIRC, one such outfit resides in San Antonio, Texas. If they have the gun or dummy gun--or you provide your own gun for a time--they will build you a holster from kydex to your liking.

Here they are:

I am not a kydex guy, but considered them for a particular holster. Commo with them was great and I have seen some of there work.

Looking at their website, they might already make what you need:

Good luck.

I have both the Vedder lite tuck for appendix carry and the Milt Sparks Summer Special for a 4 o'clock hold , the holster is canted not so comfortable for appendix carry . Both are very good holsters.

Believe it or not i'm just really interested in replacing the ez snap belt hoops that on my Phantom holster, that's only thing that needs replacement on my holster.

Milt Sparks Summer Special II. It's the gold standard. I've carried the one below for years. And it has a sweat shield. Brownell's usually has one in stock.

My problem with the Milk Sparks SS2 (used one for years) is where I carry the belt loops aren't stiff enough to keep the gun from canting forward when I bend over, causing a bulge and requiring an adjustment occasionally, which of course is bad for concealment. Good comfort though.

The steel spring clip of the Vedder keeps the gun right where it needs to be all day no problem, but after 6 months or so I tend to wear out the clip and have to buy a new one (for $6, I keep a number of spares).

Tradeoffs I guess.

After the SS this is my next favorite IWB, designed by one of the best and a true gentleman, that we lost several years ago, Lou Alessi. If you like the concept of a clip you should consider one, mine is still on the original clip after 15 years. Skip worked with Lou for quite a few years.
