Best gun moment in cinema history

He's pointing an 8mm Mauser at the evil biker's forehead,,,
He's demanding they release the girl they kidnapped.

"I'll give you until the count of three,,,
One,,, Two,,, BANG,,,,,,,,, Three."

Maybe not the best,,,
but certainly one of my favorites.

That was good, but you, me and probably only about 3 other guys here remember Billy Jack.

I still like John Wayne telling Robert Duvall "Fill your hand you SOB", in True Grit. An interesting fact. In the book, and the script, the line was a warning and read. "Fill your hand, and you'll meet your maker". Wayne personally changed the script to more of a challenge at the last minute.

I know, I'm young, and a nerd, but I'm partial to:

"TRINITY! Help!"

Threads like this can tend to be predicable... like "10 best car chases"... 1) Bullet, 2)Ronin, 3) Gone in 60seconds, etc...

How about a "Your favorite gun scenes that aren't cliche" thread!

Here:

Which site sounds best for something like this?

Eternal slacker here, so the idea will never get beyond this message -- but just for fun, I just sought out some names too see which sites were available to devote to Firearms in Cinema! This thread is my inspiration.

Firearm.com - For Sale
GunsonFilm.com - (a throwback to Men on Film in Living color)
TheGunGoesTo.com

Rooster Cogburn: Why, by God, girl, that's a Colt's Dragoon! You're no bigger than a corn nubbin, what're you doing with all this pistol?
Mattie Ross: It belonged to my father, he carried it bravely in the war, and I intend to kill Tom Chaney with it if the law fails to do so.
Rooster Cogburn: Well, this'll sure get the job done if you can find a fence post to rest it on while you take aim.

Pretty sure there is a website, http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Main_Page that may not list scenes, per se, but that lists guns used in movies and scenes.

Meanwhile, three of my favorites that have not yet been mentioned:

1) "If you're gonna shoot, shoot, don't talk." Tuco, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

2) K shoots the Angry Cricket, Men in Black

3) Gene Hackman looks at his shadow, and sees a ray of sunlight shining through it, The Quick and the Dead.

A quote:
"One's backfire, three is gunplay."

I like that film. I may not know much about guns, but the actors in that seem to have taken the time to master authentic handling. Good cast too!

I like Nikita too, but that is not a moment. It's a whole film!!

Anything involving Walter Sobchak and an M1911A1.

"Am I the only one around here who gives a **** about the rules? MARK IT ZERO!!!"

LMAO :D

That was good, but you, me and probably only about 3 other guys here remember Billy Jack.

Ol smelly feet, ever really wear boots and no socks? I did once....

I like this one

"Shoot lizabet, shoot" :) lol love that show and that guy, he reminds me of a uncle lives down there.

1941 film "Sgt York", starring Gary Cooper

"Wetting the front sights down.....it cuts down on the haze"

"With one of these fine repeating rifles, a fella could get a whole flock of turkeys"

(Pictured below: Alvin York)

I can't believe no one mentioned Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry, S&W 29 .44 Magnum "This is the most powerful handgun...do you feel lucky, punk" scene.
