Best Gun for 600.00 or Less

A gun you can beat on? Like a hammer? Well that's easy... get a Hi Point. Lol. No but seriously when I think rugged I think Ruger P95 9mm or Ruger P90. Heck u could probably get 2 P95's for $600.

S&W 39xx in any flavor... 3913, 3914, 3953, 3954 or the low budget stepchild the 908 or 908s. I have. 3913 and an upgraded 3913TSW.

Imho this is one of the top 3 carry guns ever made.

Slim slide/frame at .90"
DA/SA or DAO
Accurate, reliable, comfortable grip, smooth trigger.

If you're ever out and about and see one for $500 or less, buy it.

Hey guys, what are your opinions and experiences with Taurus? I am looking at a few revolvers... The Raging Bull series (black/red) really look good!

Oh, you just opened a can of worms, here come the Taurus haters!

You will always find people who like and dislike certain firearms or firearms manufacturers, but Taurus seems more divided than most. I don't own one but judging from the people who usually chime in on this subject, you can get a good one or one that is prone to problems.

The people who get the former love theirs, the people who get the latter have some serious horror stories about customer service.

The people who I personally know that own them (2), like them and have had no problems, but they are older models.

Unfortunately around here we have to refer to them as, "Those that shall not be named," only kidding. I personally have not shot a Taurus revolver so I can't say. However if they are as good as the PT92 as far as quality and precision then it would make a fine revolver in my opinion.

Ruger GP 100? In .357 allows for you to shoot hot loads and .38 specials for the range. Most rugged revolver there is, and will leave you with enough money to buy ammunition as well. It has my vote.
