Best Election Season Handgun?

With a likely change in administrations, and the possibility of being one unfortunate tragedy away from a serious gun ban, what handgun/handguns would you buy?

I already have a Glock 19 and Sig 229...i'm thinking of adding a few to the family (along w/ a Bushmaster, CX4 Storm or Kel-Tec Sub 2000).

Which ones would you go with? 1911? P99? XD? HK?
 
My next purchase will likely be either a New Vaquero or a Blackhawk Convertible. I don't care much for auto's, I mean I own a couple but only for their specific uses......I don't really enjoy them too much. On the other hand I love single action revolvers, so I figure what better time to buy my first one! If I don't get one of the two mentioned, I suppose another snubby might be nice. :)
 
if anything there will be a ban on hi-caps first so the 1911 won't go right away, if at all. I really doubt an all out ban will happen. but you can't be too careful. I think you should decide what guns you defiantly want and stock up on mags for it, before the election. if Osama does get in mag prices will probably go up with everyone scrambling to get them before they get banned. which reminds me...
 
More guns, more better. Get what you like. Duplicates of what you love.

Stock up on primers and powder and Lee Loaders while you're at it.:D
 
My favorite single stack is the P220 Sig Sauer. Sometimes the P239 or a 1911. Don't know what will be written into the new bill (the old one is expired, dead, and gone), but one might consider getting some 10 rd. mag's for the P229 and G19.

When the new bill is drafted, it will be as restrictive as the socialists can make it and they'll have the majority to ram it thru--- like they'll do with a lot of other bills.

The strategy of the left was to recruit pro gun dem.'s to run for office. Like Jim Webb in Virginia. We'll see if they stand up to Charlie Schumer and co., and keep their word.
 
Careful now, I've only been on here 24 hours or so and ONE thing I've learned is that you can't name names or sides in the poli-thing. shhhh.

Straight talk about the pea-shooters and the legislation will probably fly.

Names will get the padlock applied.;)
 
What you like without a paper trail, face to face buys. Cash buys on ammo and parts, spare mags, if liberals win the BOR loses.

If you live in a free state, buy anything high capacity. Since the first new gun bill will be a renewal of the 1994 AWB, with even more restrictions. Hopefully they will grandfather previous own guns, but this time it is not a given. IF BO wins there will be plenty of gun restrictions, and new taxes.

Buy hi-cap magazines

That is the main annoyance, to me.

I'll probably buy some Glock 17 rd. magazines.

Those of you who are speculative investors might buy all kinds of hi-cap magazines with the intention of selling them off later when they're banned again.

I like revolvers more and more, but it would sure be nice to have the option of an AR or hi-cap 9.
 
For hunters that have ever wanted a handgun chambered for a rifle caliber (Such as Thompson Encore or Weatherby Mark V CFP) I would buy one now before it's too late.

I'm sure these will be the first to go :(

I probably won't be able to afford to get one in time :mad:
 
I'd say before you go and "splurge" on tons of new guns and mags, I'd wait to get an idea of what is to come (ie. fact related rumors of a new type of ban), and then stock up on that!
 
Might consider a hi-cap 9mm. Don't have any in the safe at the moment. Have had several over the years, just not a big 9mm fan.

Also possibly a couple of G20 mags. Not much of an improvement over the G29 mags, but a few rounds extra is still a few rounds extra.

Not worried, just will wait and see.
 
I already went out this week and bought two semi-auto pistols. Got a Bersa Thunder .380 CC for carry around the house and a CZ P-01 for general fun. I'm afraid of some type of a semi-auto ban if/when BO gets elected.
