Best defense load for the SP?

The manual actually says "a PLASTIC hammer"... and yes, it's right in the manual. I thought a rubber mallet may do the trick, albeit less with less impact on the gun, and it did work. The mallet cost me only 2 bucks, but it's still a hammer that I have to pound my gun with to get it apart.

I hope this baby loosens up over time, I really do. I've already got a predisposition against semiautos, with all the brass flying around, the jamming, and the extra steps in the manual of arms. I'd like to have some good experiences with this one so I'm not put off semiautos altogether.

They don't want their customers to see them using a hammer to pound on the guns they sell!

The cleaning is doable, but you'll need the hammer/mallet and the manual.
