Best concealed carry 9mm?

the best is whatever you can conceal, the best you can afford, and the one you shoot accurately.
Thats your answer right there, and with the emphasis on the last part.

If what you have is proven reliable, and your intimately familiar with it, and shoot it well, in any conceivable way, then it really doenst matter what it is.

Brand snobs or kool aide fans, can scream all they want, but if you can keep up and/or surpass them when shooting, with whatever it is you have, what is it that they can really tell you? Chances are, if the paragraph above fits you, they wont be saying much anyway.

M&P Shield has replaced my S&W 340PD for a lot of my concealed carry. The little J frame is still lighter when it comes to pocket carry, though.

M&P Shield. I have carried every flavor of gun at one point, and I honestly cant see myself every finding something better than the Shield to suit my needs.

My EDC for more than 10 years has been a Kahr PM9 ... reliable since I took it out of the box a week before my CHL class, has never failed in any way. Light enough to pocket carry, easy to find good leather for cooler weather.

Don't leave home without it ...

I like the way you think. ;)

I know some are gonna laugh, but in my case, its my Springfield XD9 sub compact. I got used to it, and sometimes it feels like I don't even have it on me..great shooter

I almost got a Sig P290rs but it felt quite thick to me. Had the LC9, didn't like it. But, word on the street is they upgraded the trigger somehow.

I ended up getting a Taurus PT709 that I REALLY like. Conceals GREAT and gives me more umph than my TCP. I'm definitely no Taurus fan boy, but I feel they hit the mark with those two guns.

SIG P299

The best ccw 9mm handgun for me is the SIG P299. It is the same size as the SIG P290, but has a thin double stack magazine (9+1), is DA just like all of the regular P series SIG's with the same controls and functions, comes with night sights, and weighs in at 15-18oz.

Crap...

They haven't made that one yet.

Until then, I just can't see how you can get much better than the Kahr CM9. So simple, so perfect for it's function. Tough, can pocket carry, disappears IWB, slim, light, buttery trigger that is long enough to not worry about carrying with one down the pipe, no safety, can handle +P. Awesome little carry pistol at a very reasonable price.

No reason to laugh. My M&Pc is the same way.

Boberg XR9-S. Super-small, durable, nice looking and will eat +9 all day long. Just don't used un-crimped ammo! It will handle +p+ just fine, but the manufacturer won't rate the firearm for that.

If you want "cheap", this isn't the gun for you.
If you want "will shoot every kind of 9mm ammo out there", this isn't the gun for you.
If you want the best concealed carry 9mm....this is the gun for you.

I have the nano but I just can't make myself like it. I've never been one to like small single stacks. I always keep reaching for my HK P2000SK. She's my baby. I'm saving up for a Dan Wesson guardian 9 mm but even then I don't know if it will take her place. The nano will be sold and go into the collection pot for sure, after a good gun belt. :)

I don't have a lot of experience with trying to cc different 9mm pistols, so I'm not sure I can claim that my choice is "the best." That said, I routinely CC a Gen4 Glock 19, and I'm very happy with it, despite a hiccup at ~400 rounds. It's small and light enough to comfortably conceal all day*, and large enough to shoot well.

*Note: Bear in mind that my wardrobe includes a jacket virtually year-round. If you're a "T-shirt and shorts" kind of person, a smaller pistol might be in order.

Spats, um, you live in my beloved Arkansas and you wear a coat YEAR round? Now im no fan of cold weather but it was 90 yesterday and about 112 with the heat index. In eastern Arkansas where I'm from you wear a coat in January. I would only wear a coat to keep the skeeter's away.
