Best choice of these 45s?

How about a kimber or H&K?

I have a Glock 30, Sig p245 and Kimber 1911. I want to get a H&K USP Compact. So far I like my Sig the best.

Have handled the C97 but no experience yet. Reports are good.

The Para-Ordnance P14 I owned was reliable and shot quite superbly. But the magazines were unreliable and finicky. Carrying it was a chore, but you state that is not a consideration. (If you do, I suggest purchasing a wheelbarrow).

P220. Light, functional, reliable, affordable and the finest of the 3 selections in my opinion.

Glock 30 or Glock 21....they'll handle 10's of thousands of rounds, they're extraordinaly accurate and reliable. They don't need a lot of love, just wipe 'em down and clean after every 500 or so.

I've heard/read about the SIG 220 not often getting past 20,000 rounds without major slide/frame alignment probs, due to the pins that hold the whole thing together wearing out.

Once you've had black, you'll never go back!!

A guy can't even ask a question about specific weapons without having someone say "Uhhh, how about a GLOCK?".

The guy did request that comments be related to those specific weapons.

If my life depended on it...the Sig. I have a 220 and it's a great gun...Another "if my life depended on it" gun is the Glock 21.

What would I choose today if I were spending my money on another recreational or self defense gun...the CZ-97B. CZ's are the best deal going. Great value for your dollars.

P220 - reliable, with a proven track record.
Para Ordnance - spotty quality control. Mostly they're OK, but from what I've seen, Para turns out a high percentage of "lemons." (If your luck runs like mine, guess which you'll get?)
CZ - Probably good, but too new to have a track record.
