Best .45acp handgun for concealed carry?

I have to second the HK USP45c...

It is smaller, more comfortable, easier controls, more durable and lighter weight with a higher capacity than the Sig P220. Unfortuantely its also more expensive.

As far as the Glock goes... Well... Its a Glock. There are those who like them and those who dont. Try them all out for yourself. Me personally, I want to be able to pull the trigger and have the hammer fall. The "striker" style I'm just not comfortable with. But each to his own!

As usual, YMMV, IMHO, FWIW and all that...

Greetings All, My choice would ultimately
be the Sig-Sauer P220A; as it is the most
reliable, out of the box firearm that I have
ever owned. And I have owned all kinds of
.45's over the years. The 220 will out
perform all other's in sub-zero weather
conditions.

Best Wishes,

Glock 30 and Sig 220 are too big for me concerning conceal carry. 1911 officer's model is too unreliable. Make it a G 36 or a Sig 245 for me. Then again, I would never shoot a .45 ACP out of a barrel shorter than 5 inches and with a mag capacity of six rounds. Better make it a G27

Glock 36- lightweight plastic, thin single stack compact .45 with Glock reliablity and accuracy.

I carry a ParaOrdnance P14 with 185grn Corbons, 100% of the time, and it is 100% reliable. It is carried in a Galco NSA holster, with two spare magazines on the off side hip to balance the wieght. Once you get used to it, you do not notice any of the weight. I have friends who carried mouseguns who have been shocked at how well the real sized gun disappeared with a proper holster.
When you step up to the plate, do you want to be carrying a switch, or a bat??? There are no points for second place!!!

I have a S&W CS.45 which isn't to bad. Bought it used,got a good deal on it.
That might be worth a looksee. I like mine ;)

Don't overlook a Springfield Armory Champion, holds 7 plus 1 and has a shorter barrel than Commander sized 1911's. I feel its a good compromise between the Combat Commander and Officer ACP.

Wow,sure can't say I don't have enough choices. This purchase is contingent on my being able to pull off a near miracle. Thanks for taking the time to post and I'll let everyone know as soon as I make my decision. :)

I own three small 45acp pistols. I love my nickel Officers Model but it is too heavy. My pick is between my Glock 30 and my S&W CS45. MY Glock 30 has choked on 200 round swc bullets and my S&W CS45 has eaten everything. Since the CS45 got a trigger job it is a joy to shoot and this is the one I would opt for. Regards, Richard.
