Best .380 I've Ever Shot

Yep. Y'all are reigniting my craving for a Beretta 84. One day...

But here's one that didn't make it past 1927 - Remington Model 51. I just got it at a price I couldn't pass up & took it to the range today. Even with its pitted bore and the tiny sights, I shot an offhand 3" group at 10 yards. All steel, very low recoil, only 0.9" thick. At 95 years old, it's finish is almost gone and it shows some neglect, but it's more fun to shoot than my Walther PPK/S .380. A very nice little pistol that couldn't make it economically (& it is a pain to field strip).

Dude! You guys are totally tempting me on this one! I have to find the willpower to say no!......but I suspect my kids might shoot it??

So, these could be carried cocked & locked or DA/SA with a Decocker.

Dammit... I promised myself no guns for a year, but now you jerks are tempting me so badly... CDI Sales always has some 84s in stock...

I promised that in 2013. It worked because I didn't buy a single gun in 2014. However, I think it builds up because I have bought 4 new guns so far in 2015. It's an incurable disease. It may go into remission but it always returns.

380

I watched James Bond and his I always thought 380. I would never use such a tiny round,UNTIL, I was minding my own self when I got email, there's A SALE GOING ON, IN AZ, sooo, The eagle had just landed on my head, I asked the boss, do we need that money now or can I take advantange of a special sale for 4
guns. WHAT 4 GUNS YOU HAVE GUNS MULTIPLYING UNDER THE BED,IN DARK CLOSETS,HIDDEN IN YOUR PILLOW, OKAY, with a grin, called up pick me the best 4, do it your self,Im getting a small load, give you first crack.
H&K P7K3 380 was first pick, they all looked perfect. He had a few boxes of hot 380's,90 grains @ 1K,, didn't clean or lube, took it out of the box, checked it out, stuck 2 rounds of each box of ammo in mag, 15 yd target of 3 inch circles, pow, bang, blam Im James, I looked at Bob laughing at me, I emptied gun in all targets, wow, all I can say, absolutely perfect shooting with gun covered with factory junk. As a footnote, al the other P7's shoot as perfect OOTB.

The pistols mentioned are all great pistols. Many different flavors for different tastes. My favorite less than full size .380 is the Llama .380ACP in the locked breech model (made from the 50's to the early 70's). It is a true 2/3 copy of the 1911 platform. Single action, the 1911 trigger, slim (single stack) 7+1, cocked and locked carry and only 21oz. Yes, many say Llamas are crap. Many are crap but the locked-breech model is their best production and is half the price of today's Colts and Sigs that try to look like the 1911 but are functionally different. These are true copies. Just my opinion of course.

The best .380 I have ever shot............is my SIG P232.

Pricey to be certain, but well worth it.

Regards,

Rob
