Bersa Thunder???

I used to carry a Bersa Thunder 380 quite a bit. Never had a problem with it and it is reasonably accurate. I always kept to FMJ ammo to insure adequate penetration.

I still have a Bersa Thunder 380 that I bought about five years ago. I like the size and it feels good in the hand, but it's an inexpensive gun and it's still true you get what you pay for.

The double action trigger on mine is long, stiff, stacks and is a little gritty. The single action trigger is ok but not great. I noticed mine likes to rust more than my other guns. I disassembled it beyond a simple field strip to get rid of the rust. Bottom line, I didn't like the way some of the internal components are designed and interact with other components. I'm sure someone knows exactly when and how it's design came about but it's been a long time ago that it happened.

I'm not going to sell mine and if it was the only gun I had I would carry it but there are better to be had.

At the gun shop I do part time work at we tend to sell quite a few of the Bersa's, they seem to be verry popular with women and the older crowd due to the fact that they can rack the slide, it seems to have a softer spring and more area to grab to rack it. I have shot one and it was OK, I had no complaints but in that size catagory I will stick with my Beretta 84F with MecGear mags. Works great and is a smooth shooter, I do not feel undergunned with 14 rounds of 380 plus a back up 13 round mag.

for a decent sized .380, it's got a pretty good bit of recoil, IMO. I'm not recoil sensitive....I carry a Mod 2 .45 and shoot it well. Both my daughters had Bersa Thunders and shot them fairly well, but they upgraded to S&W Shields. (Now, one of them has moved and taken my PCR D with her since she shoots it even better and left her Shield for my wife....which made the Keltec P3AT a nightstand gun.)

Thanks all, I got the Mec Gar 8 rounders in and they look very nice.

Still waiting on the gun though... I think the seller forgot to ship it or something.

I've got three Bersas, the BT 380 and the 380+ and the BT 22. No problems with either of the 380's, but the 22 is a bit finicky about what ammo it likes.

There is an option for replacement Tritium night sights if you like for the 380's.
