Beretta Elite or Colt 1991A1??

I bought the Elite tonight. I narrowed it down to the facts that the Beretta felt better in my hand, pointed better, lower cost to shoot and I think that I really talked myself into wanting one about a month ago :) I've never had a 1911 style pistol before and figure I'll wait until the summer when I have some more free time to "tinker".

Vanfunk- The Colt's are actually at Coin Collecters Gallery in Stoneham....The prices on the Colts there are lower by 30-40 dollars than at Four Seasons(when he had them) One of the guys who works at Four Seasons (Bill with beard, 1911 junkie guy :)) just bought a 1991A1 from his shop for 500 or so. Like I said before, I've never had a 1911 style and I guess I got cold feet on the thought of it not working correctly out of the box...I dunno maybe one day I'll take the plunge. Oh I did buy the Elite at Four Seasons.

Muleshoe- I think the Elite was a limited production run......3000 only? I dunno, that sounds real low to me and probably a sales pitch but whatever.

Don't believe that crap about 1911s not functioning right out of the box. It's mostly a function of the fact that there are and have been so many different companies putting out 1911s over the years.
 
Grape, you're probably right about the production numbers of the Elite. I was just thinking of the 92 series. Enjoy the pistol, I've got one and really like it.
