Beretta 92fs or Walther P99?

I had both. I have P-99's. But that is my personal opinion. YOMV

Feel them up good and make the decision based on your opinion. They are both reliable. They both have pros and cons. One just has more pros and less cons.

I use to own a Beretta 92. I didn't like the DA/SA trigger pull. 2 different trigger pulls for your first 2 shots. After the Beretta I bought a Glock-17 & have been carrying that for 10 years. The G-17 I've been told (firearms instructor) is too big for my hand. So for a new carry gun Walther P99QA is on my list. I have not live fired the Walther P99. I have dry fired both the P99 & P99QA. I would get the Walther P99QA.

Geez, maybe I'm getting better at this quoting thing:
Thull, that's good to know. Problem is the cost. $120 plus the cost of the rear sight will probably wind up being a $250 job, when it's all over with. That's pretty pricey, but in the end, it's meaningless if you don't care about night sites.
Rovert, that's $120 for all 3-dots, including drilling the front sight *and* the dovetailed rear sight. It's $20 to $30 more from trijicon, but you can get a coupon from Ajax Grips for $80 for the sights and have Tool Tech install them, which costs you ~$30-$40 for installation and shipping- that's who Trijicon uses as far as I understand.

I made that decision a couple of weeks ago after extensive research and opinion gathering.

The P99 carried my final vote (The one made entirely in Germany. Not the S&W half-breed.)

Couldn't be more pleased. :)

For four years I carried a 92F in the Marines almost daily......

2 weeks ago for my first gun I bought a P99!

Sorry but the grip is so much nicer on the P99, I have smaller hands and used to get the armorer to reverse my mag release on my 92F so I could use my middle finger, my thumb could not reach it. The walther fits perfectly and the mag release just seems like the perfect place for me.Oh and I shoot the P99 better in a week then I ever could the 92F.

If you have smaller hands the choice is a no-brainer, but like everyone says try both before you decide.
