beretta 92 commercial, cz75b or baby eagle

I had a baby eagle and just resently sold it and got a Ruger SR9. The baby eagle jammed quite often, haven't had a problem with the Ruger at all.

I have had a 92 for over 20 years. I have had a 75 for a few months. They are both excellent handguns. I prefer the 75 by a small margin because it fits my hands a little better, but you can't go wrong with either.

i have an old state trooper issue 96 and i really like it. to date, it is my favorite semi. i may have to get the cz AND the beretta. i almost bought a cz rami but got a glock 27 instead. the glock shoots fine but is not "interesting". wish i had purchased the rami instead.

It'd take the CZ myself.

And... as much as I love my GP100 and Redhawk... my Vaquero is, hands down, my favorite revolver.

I'd go with the CZ. I never liked slide-mounted controls. I don't hate the finish but I have to agree with Skans that stainless is the way to go.

Without question out of that list I would myself would go with some CZ-75 variant. They make so many variations on it there is bound to be one that has exactly what you are looking for.

The CZ-75 was until just the other day on my wish-list but it got bumped-down a couple notches when I made an un-planned purchase of a EAA SAR B6 for a really good price.

I love my CZ clones. 9mm Tristar T-120 and 10mm steel Tanfoglio Witness. Both are very comfortable to shoot. I'd like to have a big Beretta some day too, maybe in .40 S&W but if I could only have one or the other make mine a CZ. I had no problem going with the Tristar and saving some money over the CZ. Several thousand rounds through the 9mm without a snag and that's the alloy framed model. I did put a stiffer spring in it cause I like +P+ Underwood ammo. S-120 or the P-120 are all steel Tristar options without and with a rail. If you go that route get the faux stainless looking Cerakote. Holds up better than the black. The Tanfo is a large framed pistol and has a different feel to it. Nearly as comfortable as the CZ and Tristar but wider front to back and flatter. Still pretty nice though.

Always liked the look of the CZ. I also like that there are cocked and locked offerings. However between the CZ, Sig and Beretta I've always shot the Beretta the best. The Beretta is also a very recognizable pistol.

I really like the Ruger P89 too...

If I could only have one it would probably be the Beretta. Next would honestly be a 3 way tie between the Ruger, CZ, and Sig. I love the trigger on the Ruger in Double and single action, the sig and CZ not as much, but I like the overall feel of the Sig and CZ more than the Ruger.

Again, my vote is for the Beretta... it's a hard thing to say but that's what I say.

Love how soft my 92fs shoots. Over 5500 rounds of all sorts through mine will absolutely zero issues. Some days I shoot the bullseye out some days not.

Love shooting my Canik55-c stingray as well. The desert tan finish is starting to wear off of the rails and ejector port bit. Over 1500 rounds of all sorts through it as well. No issues either. I am much more consistent with the canik. Seems every range trip I am on target.

Upsets me a little because I wanted a 92fs since lethal weapon. Oh well. On trips where I am off a bit with the 92 I can use the canik. Just wish I had 8 mags for it like I do for the beretta.

Both are great guns but I think the beretta would be the better heirloom if that is very important.

I'd get the CZ.
But then again you're not spending my money, so handle both and see which you like best...who knows, you might find something completely different while you're at the shop and come home with that.

@trigger643: Nice looking stuff.

The wood grips on the 92 make it look nice.

What kind of finish is the silvery CZ 75?

Another vote for the CZ. It is by far my favorite handgun I own. There are several options. DA/SA, SA only. Decocker or safety. If you want to tune or modify the trigger get the standard model. If you want a better trigger out of ty box go with the omega. I have the omega myself and it is a sweet shooter out of the box. I was hitting paper plates at 25 yards with my second mag through it.

As far as the baby eagle, IWI is direct importing the Jericho 941's with the safety moved to a thumb position (will be my next purchase in .45)

all 3 are nice, but as I read through the posts, you must decide on a couple of the features on each that make a difference.

slide mounted or frame mounted safety
decocker or just safety

so with those 3 guns you can have a combination of each of those choices as a choice. Well except the decocker/saftey. I think beretta is the only one that does that.

I do shoot better imo with the cz /cz clones than the beretta.
but the standard cz gives me hammer bite. or it may just be the earlier version. the later has a better extension to prevent that.
