If Mr. Barrett needs to find a new home for the LAPD's 50 I would be more than happy to adopt it. I'd even drive the 45 miles to pick it up.
You know those 50's aren't legal in Cali. Just doing my part to keep the lapd
legal.

All Barrett would have to do is to have a recall program for all Barrett .50 cal rifles and redesignate them as .4999 cal rifles. In the "new and improved" owner's manual, included with every recalled and retrofitted rifle, it could be stated "In the event that .4999 cal ammunition is not readily available, ammunition of .50 caliber may be safely substituted."

The sad thing is that I think he could actualy pull that off and be 100% legal. They didn't ban the ammo you know :D Just like how you can fire 22-250 ammo in a 22-250 Ackley Improved rifle. Just watch the grabbers sh*t their pants when they see this. They had enough trouble passing the original ban. Imagine how stupid they will look when they try and ban .4999 rifles.(Like they don't look stupid enough. :barf: )
i could just see all cops having to carry Hi-points because all other gun manufactures wouldnt sell to the US.
