I started building a straight pull AR. Why? I don't really know, but I wanted a project to work on and it seemed like a good one considering CT's new laws.
This will be replacing my primary bolt gun for range time, as .223 is readily available at great prices, for now.
I am looking at 20" and 24" barrels, I saw a few 26" ones, but unless there's some mystical reason that I need a 26" barrel, I am going to stick with the 20 and 24" for the options.
Requirements:
Bull barrel, .936"
Stainless
1:7" or 1:8" Twist
I am looking for .223 Wylde, but if not, 5.56
No muzzle threads
I am looking at:
Stag 24" 1:8"
and
Rock River 24" 1:8"
I like the Stag, it's cheaper, and they are 10 minutes from me, but the Rock River meets what I am looking for better.
Rock River says they are not shipping to CT currently, but for a barrel they might.
