Backpack-highcap-survival-plinker......

There is about 80 of those PMR's listed on Gunbroker, two within driving distance of me.
Availability isn't an issue.. but the price sure is.
$500-$650 for a poly Kel Tec 22?? Whats up with that?
Its a neat gun, but dang...

Your Charger is a neat gun. It's too big for backpacking, and it has no fixed sights.
The Keltec PM R 30 was designed as a backpacking gun.

There is something attractive to that little project, if only that I've not seen it before.

That said, I shoot anything with a stock, better than anything without, and if I am trying to plink stuff to eat, cause I have to, I want something I can shoot well. Probably starve anyhow.

So that little rig gets put in the novelty column as a fun gun. I'd not want anything electric, (short of an Aimpoint), even with extra batteries, on a survival gun either, without a set of backup sights.

Still, as a novelty, when I saw the pics, I thought "now that's cool".

+1 to bringing back the SA Scout. Mine was .410/,22 hornet. Still wish I had kept it. I do like the charger for a plinker toy though.

""""""" Bring back the Springfield M6 Scout -- a foot longer than the Ruger Charger, but a pound lighter and more flexibility with its .22 LR/.410 over/under chambering. """""""""""

May have the perfect use for this gun.....took the grand kids shooting, it was by far their favorite. With bi-pod attached they simply maneuver the grip to get on target and blaze away. Seven year old thought it was the greatest day of his life shooting at steel reactive targets and hitting them! (Heehee)

May have to get another one....
