Back pocket gun?

I've been carrying my Seecamp .32 since the mid-1990s. Larry made the recent models even better with an upgraded alloy. I cannot imagine a better back pocket pistol. I own a Kahr PM9 which is my second choice pocket gun, but it is too big for my back pocket -- it rides in my front pants pockets or jacket pocket nicely though.

My Kahr P380 is small enough to fit in just about any pocket. I can almost literally take that little guy anywhere. It's nice to shoot too :)

If you fall on it, you might never walk again...

Carry it off-center and don't line up the grip with your spine.

Are the Seecamps still Silvertips only? Is there other ammo by now that will feed well in them? I always liked Seecamps but felt limited by the ammo for the price.

The only gripe I would have is the caliber. 32 is pretty ineffective. I would either go up to 380 (or even 9mm) or 'down' to 22 mag (which isn't actually down since it has better ballistics). You can get a 380 with roughly the same dimensions and weight as your seecamp. You could also get one of those minimag revolver in 22 wmr. Either one would hit harder than 32.

Disagree. For one, I would never recommend somebody go up to .380 ACP from an already owned .32 ACP. Difference isn't worth buying a new gun. Unless, of course you just happen to want both. I would only recommend the .380 if neither was presently owned. And the .22 WMR isn't going to net superior-to-.32 ACP ballistics from a mini-revolver. A Grendal or PMR-30, maybe. But with those, you'd also lose your convenient size advantage.

Uh-Oh . I sense a "4th of July" caliber war developing with all of the obligatory fireworks...Just kidding as caliber discussions can 'potentially' be quite interesting--IMO Ayoob does the best job of artculating this. While I am a fan of the 'bigger the projectile the better' philosophy (I know, debatable ;)), I never feel undergunned with anything I carry solely for the reason (not boasting just a simple result of basic training over 30 years) that I can effectively deploy said weapon (be it .22lr-.45acp). Now that being said, a handgun is just that, a handgun and not ever to be thought of as that as 'portrayed' in the proverbial Hollywood 'Gun-Flicks.' For example, one of my more recent (relatively speaking) favorite Westerns is "Open Range." Yet when Costner's character fires and strikes the bad guy with a Peacemaker or Single Action Army revolver (some people prefer a particular sematic rule with that iconic piece), the guys flies backward as if he were shot out of a cannon. But I digress...

-Happy Birthday America!

Carry the ultimate an American Derringer Alaskan in 45-70. You will miss but the fireball will blind any assailant.

Seriously, I like my baby browning in 25 ACP.
