Australian Gun Law

Passing a law does not do anything. A law is a norm of society stating things society considers wrong. If you pass a law without money and resources for enforcement that means that the event is only enforced after law enforcment catches a violator. So did that law help the vicitim?

the vast majority of 99% of gun owners are law abiding citizens who are not the reasons the law was passed. The other 1% who were the cause of the law could care less what law you pass they will continue to do the same thing.

Instead of passing laws that say you cant own guns we should have laws that say if you use a gun to commit a crime such as robbery, rape, ect. you get 10-20 years added to your sentence in which you must serve every day with no credit for good time or parole.

Statistics are based on a sample of the population. You start out with a premise and do a statistical study using samples to arrive at a conclusion.

Does that study take into account the history of the premise. If criminal activity has been decreasing for years prior to your premise unless the sample is large enough you cant honestly say that a law is causing a drop in crime. It can work both ways.
