Aussie law against pepper spray too!

Bruce, you wrote: 'B-I-G torches are very popular, however'. That is a great idea! Don't shoot them, don't hit them, don't squirt them, LIGHTEM' UP!!!! Or should we use the U.S. definded torch and light them up with that? It could prove an effective deterent if mall security guards would start incinerating shop lifters daily. What a great concept.

Daniel from Oz:

G'day mate -- I see from your profile this is your first post. Welcome. I am very unhappy about the gun laws. I get upset at not being able to own even a semi-auto .22; I always wanted a 10/22 or an Erma M1 (in both .22 and .30). I also look at the photos of my old pumpie shotgun and imagine it being crushed -- and, yes, I get unhappy!

Oatka:
I agree -- "incremental creep" has a lot of us worried. No government in the world ever did anything to give itself less money!!

Jeff OTMG:
Oops -- I forgot --- torch = flashlight, of course. But I have to say I like your idea a damn sight better :D

Bruce:

Would you be interested in the purchase of "high-capacity" "assault" rocks?

"Honest officer, I really am an amature geologist, that's the reason I have a pocket full of rocks!"

In all seriousness it is a true shame that with everything going in the world, gun bans, dog bans, etc, Americans with God given rights don't realize what is actually occuring around them on a daily basis. And the horribly sad part is that our Constitution is supposed to protect us from these very things.

Bruce, I feel your pain. I have always wanted to own a semi-auto FN FAL in .308.
But since Martin Bryant (The best damm shooter in the world, IMO) used one, they will never import them.

This mat be getting OT but I plead "cause" your Honour .....

In case Daniel's remark about Martin bryant is a bit obscure for our American and other country's readers, what he is alluding to is this:

Martin Bryant went berserk with two semi-auto centrefires and killed 35 people at Port Arthur in Tasmania, precipitating the Aussie gun bans and new laws.

He is classified as mentally retarded, and of low motor coordination.

Inside the Broad Arrow cafe, he hauled a CAR 15 from a bag, and in the next 12 seconds fired 20 shots, killing 19 people, all with head or neck shots. He fired from the hip, from his offhand side (he shot from the right but is left-handed). All this was done with a rifle he admitted later he "had never even test-fired".

Bruce, I love the tac reload on the 29th shot. Also how he switched to the FAL for those long range outdoor shots.

If I was in control of the SASR or TAG, I would get this guy. Or perhaps he already is a member?

Perhaps that last comment is a little "out of line", but you never know. "For the good of the nation...".

If this kind of nonsense is common, it sounds like you'd want a BIG beartrap under the rags in the trunk. (I said this in another thread, too.) Guy starts rooting around in there without a warrant, and ka-CHUNK! He's now know as "Lefty."
