I have a CZ500 Varmint in .308. It uses detachable box mag. I used to have a CZ 550 Lux in .308. This had an integral mag with a floor-plate.
I'd like to hear from anyone who can tell me if the integral mag/floor-plate/trigger guard assembly from something like the Standard or Lux would fit the space in the stock and mounting screw points of the mag-well/trigger guard assembly of my Varmint.
The idea is a straight swap of the Varmint original trigger guard assembly for a floor-plate model.
It is more compact and easier/quicker to reload and may even take strips. It also means my COAL would not be mag-restricted making seating closer to the lands much easier.
Oh, and I like the look too.
I thought the mags were more convenient, but they are not so much. Whilst I could buy extras, the CZ 750 10-rd mag costs a LOOOOOOT for what it is and, although cheaper, so does the standard 4-rd mag...
