No, I'm not a lawyer - just an undergraduate who can't resist the chance to tell an umpire joke. Sorry 'bout the confusion. :)

If the cartooning thing doesn't pan out, I'm seriously considering going to law school and becoming a civil rights attorney...

I forgot another bold-faced violation of the First Amendment in Chapter 180. This is one of my personal favorites:

Under Massachusetts law, it is unlawful, and punishable by fine and imprisonment and permanent loss of gun permit -- for any member of a gun club with a class A license, to shoot at a picture of Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, or any other 20th century monster. Yes, the Liberals in Massachusetts have encoded into law their love for these monsters by making it unlawful for club members to shoot at any picture or silouhtte of any person. "Too violent," and after all, Hitler, Stalin, et all, were just basically misunderstood social progressives who got a bad rap from the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy.

NOW do you see the true nature of Massachusetts Liberalism?

And the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts -- with arguably the greatest number of "lawyers" per capita in the world -- thinks this law is just fine.

How can anyone have any respect for the legal profession?
