Assaults on U.S. border agents increase

Increasing the number of officers on the border will not help anything..just employing more people, big money, to do nothing, in effect, that is. You have got to remove any possible chance of reward, it will require a fundamental change (constitutional) to change citizenship requirements. There can be no amnesty. There can be no "sponsoring". There must be direct force used to repel trespessers(you are, afterall, protecting a sovereign country). There has to be criminal penalties for anyone who aids and abets the illegal immigrants, starting with municipal governments who sponsor, funded by taxes, offices designed to facilitate the procurement of identification documents, i.e..Drivers Licenses, SS# cards, etc. Once they get some kind of I.D., they're in like a tic. In other words, this will never happen. As far as the shooting, it's a damn shame some Americans, if I heard correctly, were being prosecuted for shooting the illegals(trespessing on their land). That is something else.

The question i have who is in control of this country our government or Mr. Fox.

I believe it's their "Forty-Seven Families" and our Forty-Seven Families--the ones that have that Tex-Mex barbecue every year.

Rule One: Nothing, not even the slaughter of our BP officers, must be allowed to get in the way of profit.

In his State of Union Address, Bush said that we need a guest worker program to do the jobs "Americans will NOT do".
Funny, the only American I see NOT doing his job is Bush, when it comes to his lack of National Border Control.
It is to be expected that Democrats and Libertarians question his motives...but more and more Republicans are coming out against his border policy (or lack there of). Hannity of Hannity & Colmes, O'Riley, Joe Scarbourgh, Lou Dobbs, Michelle Malkin, Ann Colter, Russ Limbaugh. Yes, most of these are MSM...but most of them have shown pro-Bush leanings on other issues. But all of them are arguing FOR border control. They are joined by some Republican politicans as well. Most of them seem genuinely baffled by Bush's stance. Pandering to Hispanic voters, pandering to businesses who criminally make use of illegal tax-free labor...perhaps. But the ramifications of his actions (inactions, really) are so far-reaching and dangerous that those reasons do not even seem to suffice. This is one of those areas that I am increasingly open to ideas of conspiracy. I would love to be a fly on the wall when he and Fox get to talking.

National Guard Time

The governor of Arizona needs to activate the National Guard in his state and line the border with them if it is such a problem.

The National Guard exists to protect the citizens of the state from threats. If the illegals and smugglers are a threat, get to it, Governor!

Then, when the military higher ups try and activate the Arizona National Guard for duty in Iraq, Afghanistan, or somewhere-ever-the-hell-else, the Governor can just tell them they're busy attending to domestic matters right now.

Then maybe people will start to recognize how truly spread thin our military is!

it is obvious that our troops need better training.

i propose the boarder be declared a "free fire training zone". In addition to our troops, we also should initiate a "citizen marksmanship training" corp.
