At my lgs i go there a lot to purchase items. Even if its just ammo or a sling. I after a while built a reputation as a loyal customer. When i went to buy new or used guns i just say im thinking about buying and just price shopping. The store owner knows i buy a lot there so he nearly always says "well if you want this gun i could do it for whatever he offers. It usually is a 10% discount or he will throw me a 100 rounds of ammo or eat the tax or whatever. He knows that i will be back to buy more stuff because i have proven to be a loyal customer.
