Ashley Express sights?

CAK,
That's what the mini-14 is carried in the patrol car for. That's not defensive pistol ranges, it's carbine ranges, IMHO. :)

George/WESHOOT2,
Luckily, knocking on wood, I just turned thirty and my eyesight hasn't degraded at all, SO FAR. I thank God for that. I'm the only person in my family, including uncles, aunts, cousins, etc, that has never needed glasses.

Dan,

10-4 on the red Loc-Tite. :)

BTW, I just ordered a set of Ashley PRO Express Std size tritiums for my G22. In case you haven't seen the "PRO" version (I hadn't before today) they have a tritium bar in the rear sight instead of the white inlay. I'll report on them as soon as I get them and try them out. :)

Yes I am LE, and no carbines are not authorized/furnished to patrol officers. The standard long gun is an 870 with Tactical Buckshot. Designated officers that are AR-15 qualified can check the rifle out of the armory on an as-needed basis. As you can see, I'll take a shot with my handgun at 40 yards before I'll take the same shot with a buckshot loaded shotgun.
