Arizona man arrested after gun fires at Walmart

Ten bucks says the video game was Call of Duty.

In any case, my biggest worry is what events like this do to public perception. A Phoenix station reporting on the CCW reforms pending in Arizona couldn't resist mentioning Mr. Walters' antics. Look closely at the spin:

But expanded gun rights doesn't always mean expanded responsibility. On Thursday, police charged a man from Surprise Arizona with endangerment after his gun went off inside a Walmart. Witnesses say the man was fidgeting with his gun when it fired a bullet into the ceiling.

Any of us would notice that the article is sloppily written, and that it relies on questionable interviewees, but at the end of the day, 99% of the people reading it don't know that.

They just wonder if maybe expanding carry rights is a bad idea.

First off, El Mirage does not have its own PD. They use Maricopa Country Sheriffs Dept.

I'm pretty sure I got pulled over by the El Mirage PD the other week. It was right next to the walmart where this idiot was screwing around. Both fantastic reasons to stay out of this city.

Those Jennings seem to shoot ceilings pretty good at least.

If you watch the second video of the Fox link, there is footage of the judge reading this idiot the riot act and banning him from the Walmart and guns until his trial. You get the feeling this isn't his first time in the "system". Only by the grace of god was no one hurt.
