Yes. Although I'm not what you would call a handgun hunter. My handguns are more for targets of opportunity when I'm otherwise unarmed doing other stuff and to keep from being chewed on while buttoned up in a sleeping bag.

I hunt but I have never handgun hunted (successfully). I plan to wring out a hunting load for my mdl 83 454 this summer and hunt with it this year if I can. No scope! My moral dilemma is steak sauce or marinade.

Yes, 22 pistol or revolver for squirrel and rabbit. 357, 41 mag or 44 mag for deer.

Only hand gun in the house not used for hunting is the Browning 9MM.

.

Dove, Deer, Turkey, sometimes pheasant, quail, rabbit.... though I spend more time teaching the kids to hunt than I do actually hunting nowadays.....

Rifle/shotgun

Yes: deer, antelope, coyotes, doves, pheasant, Canada goose.

Handgun hunting is on the horizon. There is a 629 with a Millet red dot tube on it sitting in the safe, and it will get used to tear up the ground around prairie dogs closer than 50 yards this summer. If there is a deer tag or antelope tag in the mail this summer, then I hope to become a hand gun hunter.:D I guess if you consider shooting prairie dogs hunting, then I am already a handgun hunter, having shot a few with a 357. Makes for good times out in the middle of Wyoming where there aren't any neighbors to hear that thing.

Some time around September 13th or 14th, there should be up to 13 Pronghorn Antelope hanging in my garage - waiting their turn to be butchered.

At least one should have a .429" entry wound from my Super BlackHawk. Of the speed goats taken by me, all should have been shot within "handgun range" (even if I happen to use a rifle). If it was legal, I'd use my .327 Federal with an appropriate hand load, but the regs prohibit it. :(

I hunt many species. Handguns come along about 60% of the time, and get used about 20% of the time. Only for Antelope, do I go on dedicated handgun "hunts", though (it's the rifle hunt, but I'll limit myself to a legal handgun for some stalks).

Yes, hunted pretty much everything available since I was 6. Hunt with all weapons. Although I don't ever carry a pistol as a primary weapon, one always accompanies me on big game hunts.

you bet

I love to hunt, more than any grown man should. Spring turkey at present, my favorite.

To keep true to the forum, couple times a season, I will handgun hunt for deer, usually w/ either a G20 10mm, or a S&W 629 .44M Mountain revolver, always from a treestand, much like bowhunting. I have not taken a deer with a handgun....yet.

YES for fun, food & money Deer, hogs, yotes, beaver, groundhog,Gator.Use handguns & rifles mostly but love them all.

Yes I am. If its in season, I'm usually out there chasing it. Hunting with bow, blackpowder and handgun are my favs. Don't really much care for Rifle or shotgun for larger game.

I have hunted. I've shot at exactly 2 deer in my life, and killed both of them, one shot each. Why did I quit after that? Because in my county, we have a game warden who has ZERO mercy, and it's common sense that if he wants to dig deep enough, he'll find you in violation of some game law or another. This is a real problem because I'm in LE full time. Any violation of my state's game laws is considered a misdemeanor. If I were found guilty of violating such, the state could [and would] yank my LEO certification. Poof! Career disappears. So to me, the risk of hunting is simply not worth it.

Squirrels & Deer by handgun plus other critters

Squirrels & Deer by handgun plus other critters. I have also taken game with rifle and shotgun. I eat what I kill.

Lemmon

I'm not a hunter. Non-hunting family. I can't think of a single relative who hunts. We fished a lot, but no hunting.

But, I wish I was. And I'm working on it. Ask again next year.

I am not a hunter, but I am not opposed to it if others want to do it.

I don't see how someone could be opposed to hunting, but then still eat meat. After all, how do they think the meat came to the plate? In some ways, the hunter is more admirable, doing the hunting himself/herself rather than expecting someone else to do the work.

Heck yeah!!!

I'm a true-blood everything hunter!!!! Been on the path for about 20 years now. I deer hunt ON THE GROUND!!!, the way you're suppose to unless you suck! Over time I've literally slapped 10 does on the ass!!! I don't even bother with turkeys anymore. Just too damn easy. I shoot my long range guns at the range. Get down n dirty, learn your critters, and quit feeding them that crap off the shelves!! (e.g. deer crack, cocain, corn, or anything else that reduces them to a cow!) If half of these idiots would quit thinking that the crap they see on the outdoor channel isn't real hunting, then maybe we could keep the damn texans from leasing up hunting land in OK. Bottom line; if you gotta feed em to get close to em, stay the hell away from me you silly, worthless idiot.
