AR15.COM down?

I just tried to get in. Still down.
I made a post late last night then noticed that I had misspelled a word. When I went back to edit, I couldn't get in.

Mendacity is the system we live in.

Sunday or Monday, there was a post on AR15.COM with over 200 billion replies! It slowed things down to a crawl.

There was some disagreement over whether it was a software glitch, or sabotage. I have no idea if the current outage is related to the incident earlier this week.

I emailed Ed, the site owner, on Wednesday, but he hasn't replied, perhaps he's too busy, and that's understandable. It's unusual though, that no word has gotten out to anyone AFAIK about what the problem is. If I learn something, I'll post it here.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but with so many pro-gun sites down at the same time before the Million Moron March, it makes you wonder. I about had heart failure tonight because it took quite awhile for TFL to load and I thought it was out of commission too.

Its probably some anti-gun, pro Communist Liberal, Democrat voting hacker who thought it would be funny to screw with the gun sites. Of course I doubt that the press and FBI are going to pursue this one anywhere near as hard as they did that stupid e mail virus earlier this week. Its just gun owners and everyone knows what moronic freaks of nature WE are.

I have been in withdrawal since yesterday.

Ditto what bullseye said. With the coming eve of the MMM, and the combination of the NCIS out of action, it does get me thinking about antigun hacking. By the way, does anyone have access to about 100 or so PC's?

Hmmmmmm. Gives one something to think about. I've been bummed about AR15.com all week. At least I learned a bit about the history of the site here at TFL -- sounds like AR15.com'ers took over Rosie's site last year and caused Warner Brother's to shut the place down. Good work ladies and gent's. I'm proud to be a member now.
