AR Pics & Brag

Sorry about the mix up. I was looking at Nate's resizing job and I didn't get the joke. I am a little slow sometimes.

If your going with an acog, id suggest going with a 20 inch barrel because it'll be cheaper (vs a 14 inch barrel and all the taxes that come with) and you'll have to do less footwork, just find ammo that is 62 gr, and 3000 fps. If a shorter barrel is you ting, pay the taxes if you can and get the 14 1/2 inch barrel, again, less footwork. Any other lengths than that, either call trijicon or stick with your eotech.

You can have a 14" barrel without the SBR tax as long as the flash hider is pinned or non removable. Like this one http://palmettostatearmory.com/8840.php

And as far as I know the only ACOG that is calibrated for a 62gr bullet is the TA01NSN designed for a M4A1 with a 14.5" barrel.

From Trijicon's FAQ page:

The TA01, TA11, & TA31 (.223) were designed for the 5.56mm, 20 inch barrel, 55 grain bullet, and M16/AR15 carry handle mount. The TA01B & TA11C(.308) were designed for the 7.62mm, 20 inch barrel, 168 grain bullet, and M16/AR15 carry handle mount. The TA01NSN was designed specifically for the US Special Operations Command SOPMOD M4 Carbine. To meet their requirements, the reticle bullet drop compensator and range finding stadia lines were based on the trajectory of the 62 grain bullet from a 14.5 inch barrel, flattop mount (Picatinny rail Mil.Std.1913).
With all that said I have the TA01NSN on my 16" M4 Forgery and I love it I am not concerned about the stadia lines not matching perfectly because I am not engaging towel heads out to 600 meters.

Dang, Nate..........

I showed my wife that and told her I wanted my room to look like that. I told her it was getting me aroused. She just gave me "the look" and said that would just give her a headache... lmao

That is some really nice equipment you have there. Play dates must be a bang!!

My only EBR (Evil Black Rifle), a pre-ban Colt Sporter Target Model...

Sorry about the fuzzy pic, I'm pretty sure I'm getting a new camera for Christmas as my old one (Kodak DC-215) is from 1999... My wife says it's like I'm walking into a surgical suite to perform brain surgery with a pan full of leaches...

You aren't wrong Blackops2, it was just a joke. I thought most people who liked ARs and tactical weapons had seen it before.

I'm sorry to those who thought it was really my stuff. I said it was Santa's stuff.

I'm not bragging, but I have about 30K worth of firearms and the reason I tell that, is because its obvious 30K wouldn't even begin to touch the computers and weapons in the photo. Don't get me wrong, I feel very fortunate to have what I do. Its just that its obvious that the room in the photo is well into the six figures.

It could be. Lots of people spend bunches of money on air-soft guns.

Think about it, there is a Barrett 82 (a what, 30 pound rifle) on a shelf that is so flimsy it couldn't hold both pairs of my work boots. On the right side of the pic is a M2HB, what looks like a AT4 rocket launcher, and a tiny version of a M134 with the chainsaw grips like in Terminator 2 and Predator.

If you think those are real guns you need a reality check.

Well considering he already said it's not his and if one were to glance at the picture doesn't necessarily deem them as airsoft. Yeah i'd say some people would mistake it as real. I never said it was real though either. For God's sake there is a lightsaber on the top shelf too. As i said i have seen that picture alot and the argument that follows with it. Which you just stated that it is in fact airsoft.

Well, that guy doesn't have anything on me anyway. :)

I dug these out of the closet. I don't need fancy optics on my AR(at least thats my claim since its not a flattop:p). I got that Rem 700 at a pawn shop for cheap, its a BDL Varmint .308 and I had that sporter synthetic stock, scope and bipod already. That bandolier sling on the Mossberg 500 was like 10-11 dollars at Cheaper Than Dirt.

Fulton Armory carbine on bottom with a .308 middy standing on its head. Below another Spikes topped AR I own, sporting an ACOG. I've replaced all of the BUIS with better quality ones since the photos were taken.
