I know, I know... you don't care, another guy posting pics of his ARs ....sorry I just had to! these are basically done...talked myself out of a 11 inch barrel.......am liking the finished products.....still want a Eotech magnifier and maybe upgrade the ACOG to a TA31....hopefully I will be able to control myself since I want to do a few 10/22 projects next instead

I will say I have nothing but praise for the DSA uppers! If you were on the fence, you'll be happy with there products and customer service!!!! I went out this past Sunday and shot the hell out of both, cheap ammo and the good stuff...not 1 issue....(gotta love the Magpul mags as well...never an issue!!)

- my 2 ARs (finally got the other barrel!)

DPMS Lower with a DSA upper...ACOG Reflex, Magpul furniture, Surefire...etc

Double Star Lower with a DSA Upper EOTECH EXPS 2-0 (next to purchase will be Eotech X3 Magnifier with flip) Magpul furniture, surefire...etc

so tempted to do one in FDE AND OD Green , but I know I would want the WHOLE thing to be in that color...and then I would have to pay to have that done as well...maybe after my 10/22s are done I will re-visit doing an 11" in FDE or OD

ACOGS!!!

Before you buy an acog, call trijicon and ask what barrel length and what type of ammo was used to calibrate the drop compensator.

The accuracy of the drop compensator is highly dependent on the weight and velocity of the bullet, for example, an M4 and M16 have different acogs specifically calibrated for them, why? Because a shorter barrel causes a loss in velocity and hence a faster drop!

If your going with an acog, id suggest going with a 20 inch barrel because it'll be cheaper (vs a 14 inch barrel and all the taxes that come with) and you'll have to do less footwork, just find ammo that is 62 gr, and 3000 fps. If a shorter barrel is you ting, pay the taxes if you can and get the 14 1/2 inch barrel, again, less footwork. Any other lengths than that, either call trijicon or stick with your eotech.

I like the Trijicon Reflex.

Eotechs man so played out.

600 hours of battery life vs 12 years of care free always on Trijicon...

Ak---- ??? Huh? You lost me....it purpose is to fire bullets, and hit what im aiming at.....targets, animals, aliens, zombies, people....you name it...your right, it is a toy, a man toy!

MAGOG - I LOVE my Reflex, trijicon makes great ones am always cruising for another...eotech are common, but like it, even it a tad bit bulky size, am looking to get the magnifier and it shold be even more fun

AR, AK, FAL, 700, semi-auto, bolt gun, lever action...a build is a build, and I always like seeing them. Very nice, too! I recently picked up an EOTech and love the crap out of it after getting it zeroed, I love the circle-dot reticle. You take it to the range yet?

Owning and using both... I would say I like the EO-tech a little better. Battery life isn't a big deal.. and the Trijicon is nice.. but washes out in bright sun light. They come with the adjustable polazier to help fix this.. but after a few hundred rounds the cheap screw in polarizer Trijicon gives you with it fell apart.

Aimpoint is kind of the best of both worlds.. but cost a lot more.

I also have a Trijicon ACOG on another rifle that I am very pleased with.

I am currently building an AR-10 that is going to be wearing a Trijicon Accupoint. So I am a big Trijicon fan, but when it comes to the reflex.. I would choose the EOtech before I bought another Reflex.

I've owned an ACOG for a little over 9 years now. From a practical perspective, the ballistic drop compensator (BDC) almost never matches exactly to your situation because bullet drop is affected by things other than velocity and bullet weight. However, it is close enough that it will get you onto an E-silhouette out to 600m with a fairly wide range of ammo that doesn't match.

You can also get a ballistics calculator and sit down with the load of your choice to work out a trajectory that works for you (i.e. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_18/229420_Bartholomew_Roberts__Big_ACOG_BDC_Chart.html). That may be a simpler solution than a tax stamp for a 14.5" rifle.

Check out this new invention they have, its called tactical photo resizing.:p

Yeah, I know it looked almost life size on my big screen. :)

Its okay, it didn't bother me. I was just having a little fun.

Nice rifles and sights.

Nate, what is the stock on the lower rifle in that last picture. I like the looks of it, getting ready to build a 6.8SPC with free floated 18' mid length barrel and was planning on using an original A2 Rifle style stock but...

I don't know, its diablo508's rifle. He'll have to tell you. I don't have one here at... lets just call it the 'office'.
