Anyone want a Kahr in .357sig

As a side note, Barsto will make them if we order 10 barrels, but they won't be done till Feb, hard to say which is faster at this point, I would prefer to have the slide say K357!

Boy you hit the bullseye with that one! I was thinking the 4" barrel with comp cut myself! Maybe we could get them to do a small run of K357's with 4" comp barrel and wood grips with the elite trigger. Sort of like the small run of Wilson Kahrs the made...

the K357 Wilson Custom!!!! with checkered and hardchome frame, ss barrel and bearcoat upper! And of course MMC rear sight, trijicon front! They would talk if 10 guys would do it, we just need 10 guys???????

More from Kahr,

You have quite a following on your .357 "on slaught". I visit "the firing line"
website occassionally too and saw your "post". Honestly, right now there are no
plans for the .357 regardless of how many requests come in... And to answer your question, the barrels on the P series and K series are different and are not interchangable.

I appreciate your enthusiasm and support of our products.

Sincerely,
Faye M.Newcomb
"the lady at Kahr"

There you have it, Barsto is the only option and we'll need two different barrels, one for the P357 and one for the the K357. For those of you interested, we can have the slide changed to say K357.

Yeah, who would want a pistol more powerfull, more accurate, and more concealable than the ".45auto", not that the K45 won't be a great piece, but we're talking about two different animals.

At this time we're gathering 10 people for K357 barrels and 10 for P357 barrels. As we get to the 20 person mark I'll start sending out emails.

Power yeah, but 100-150 foot pounds advantage to the .357 Sig really isn't all that much. There are so many ways of coming at this particular issue that it really makes your head spin -- hydrostatic shock, mass knockdown ratios, penetration in jello, one-shot stops (man, do NOT get me started on that...).

More accurate? Hum... Debatable, very very debatable.

More concealable, yes, the .357 Sig will be a smaller overall, but again, I don't really think that it's all that much of an issue.

I will admit that I've just never warmed up to the .357 Sig. When I was with NRA I got to fire one of the first ones released, even before it was announced to the public, and I've fired quite a few different guns chambered for .357 Sig since then.

I know why Sig & Federal brought the round out, but I really thought that it was going to be pretty much a non player, given the bombshell that was the .40 and it's acceptance.

It seems that the .357 Sig is developing a nice following, which is a good thing, but I'm personally still not all that taken with it.

The package we're talking about though, the Kahr, well I just LOVE my K9, and I'm not all that great a fan of the 9mm, either, but I do carry the K9, and my HK P7M13 (but that's more because I'm so freaking accurate with the P7).

And, believe it or not, I'm not all that big of a fan of the .45! I use mine for plinking and bowling pins -- I never carry it.

When I pick up a serious carry gun, though, I always, and I mean ALWAYS, pick up my Smith & Wesson Model 19.

Hum... Maybe I'm just a little miffed that someone is trying to steal the .357 Mag's thunder from my beloved wheelguns and stuff it into a plebian semi-auto?

Nahhhhhhh. :D
