Anyone using this Mag?

Maybe if the military or any LE starts using them the price will come down. It's a matter of choice, at 2-1/2 times the price of a regular one.... I dunno.

This is something that I don't wanna be the first on my block to try out. Let us know if any gun rags evaluate it.

Looks cool, though.
 
Maybe I am wrong, but it looks like it would get dirty faster. More moving parts and open. Hate to use that in a foul environment. Looks great from the bench rest.
 
I saw these the other day.
Here is my $0.02. They cost about 2x as much as PMags, and what is the actual benefit of the front of the mag sliding down for loading and unloading. Is it really that much faster? Is the edge sharp? Does the mag ever open accidentally and spill ammo out?
If you are ever in a situation where you needed to really quickly load a mag, don't you think you would probably have a couple of extra 30 rounders already loaded in your pockets?

Well the P-Mag is a nice Mag. But it is not metal and it has no metal feed lips. For may one or both of the items is a deal breaker when it's a duty Mag.:rolleyes:
 
So what about the lack of metal, that just means that they cannot be bent when dropped, as I have experienced.

Also I've seen more folks coming back from the sandbox(es) with Pmags than Easymags. That's not to say that they're not as good, but they are trusted for duty.
 
The Cost

Well I really don't expect the EasyMag will ever be widely excepted because of it high cost. When most people don't even want to pay more then $700 to $800 for their ARs the $14 MagPul P-Mag. is a good buy.
Paying $29 or $30 for a Mag. just keeps them from buying it. You will start seeing a lot of the non-metal Lancer System L5 Mags being used at $19 they are a better buy and they have the metal feed lips that many want on their Mags.:)
 
Watch the vids guys.
They shoot it with a shotgun, loaded with 6 shot. Then load the mag, and fire it.
He has it open, in a sand pit, shakes it around under the dirt, takes it out, loads it and fires it.
The other animation shows how it spring-locks open and closed.

I will admit, I like the vid mostly because of all the brass laying on the ground.
 
I saw the video and the shotgun part impressed the hell outta me, but seeing a Pmag still firing after being run over by a tour bus & cracking it spine impressed me more.
 
EasyMags

I've been using EasyMags for several years. Never had any trouble with them. I especially like that they are made from steel and not aluminum. The lips can take a drop on the ground without being bent out of shape. Got several thousand rounds through them. Great if you have arthritis in the hands. Thankfully I don't but my buddy does and he swears by them. Makes loading easy and fast. I paid about $29 for them at www.SurvivalCenterOnline.com I went for the 30 round model, but they are also available in 20's. Just bought 3 for a gift for a friend and as of this writing date they have them available.
