anyone try the Knoxx industries Copstock folder

I haven't used the Copstock, but I am using the Compstock, also made by Knoxx.

I can say that the Compstock is very well made, with a grip by Houge, (as well as a forend grip by Houge) and it does absorb a good deal of recoil. I got mine at tacticalshotguns.com. I ordered online, and the stock was here in three or four days. If the quality of the copstock is anything like the compstock, it's a great deal.

Everything I've used "take-downs"/folders suck.

As a "hand-gun/pistol-type," a 12 gauge isn't controlable in the "shorty" configuration.

As a substitutute for a full-length standard stock, they fall short on comfort.

Personally, I'll pass.

Give me a basic Rem 870 stock & my choice of barrels & chokes.

I'll do the rest.

Thank you very much anyway.

IMNSHO, a "soultion" in search of a problem.

Yup, they fold down for being compact, but when you want to use 'em, they're not nearly as god as a full-stock version.

I'd just as soon have to "deal with the bulky-stuff" ....

Bye-the-bye .... anybody into this "tactical-stuff" ever shot 5X at even 10 yards fast-fire with 00 buck?

No?

You should.

You can get a parrot-beak pretty toot-sweet & you don't know what you're all about .....

Besides not hitting anything past your feet ....

Try the Wonder-Stock & then try a standard stock.

Proof's in the puddin'.

I'm underwhelmed. Besides the U shaped bruise that using this should get you is the fact that a flexing stock must deflex after absorbing that energy, and I wager that slows up repeat shots.

Anyone care to explain why the standard stock is so egregious?....

"Anyone care to explain why the standard stock is so egregious?.... "

Yeah, Dave = duh!

It's ain't "so tactical" & you can't get that nifty parrot beak with a real stock ....

Lab,unfortunately you may be right. That thing certainly looks like the old M1A1 Carbine folder, and if it's good enough for the 101st Airborne.....

It makes me want to get an alloy framed pump like the 1300 and anodize it flaming pink, just to watch the jaws tighten as I shoot. Maybe paint the wood lavender....

Dave - I DARE YOU to do that, and then post the pic's here on TFL! I can see several of our members posting a "having a heart attack RIGHT NOW!" message as they die of apoplexy before their smoking computer screens... :D

Preacher, maybe I better not,in the interests of public health. Besides, since I lost weight, my ballerina outfit is too big(G).

Santino, thanks for the chuckle. Actually, my idea of a bad dream shotugn would be more like a 590DA with just a PG, porting, and an inflated price.

I bought one a short while back. After about a dozen rounds or so, the entire receiver would remain stuck in the backward position. It would have jammed my index finger against the trigger guard if it would have gone back any further. The shotgun can only be brought back to normal position by holding the barrel and knocking the pistol grip against a hard object.

I wrote to the manufacture and here's their reply:
I am sending out a replacement stock today. I apologize for the problem. Please discard the old stock so that it cannot be reused. We have researched the reason for the problem and found that a very few units were assembled with the wrong pin in the receiver extension. This can allow the overtravel
you have experienced. We have gone through our entire inventory and replaced all of the pins in the units so affected. Please let me know when you receive the new one.

I have received the new stock but have not tested it out yet.

Santino, I want one of Correia and/or Dave with a pink shotgun, tutu, and floral garland sling, wearing ballet pumps and posing in front of the nearest ATF office. Please arrange... :D :D :D

Preacherman, as a man of God I would expect you to be counseling us against stuff like that instead of encouraging it! :D
