Anyone tried 10/22 Tech-SIGHTS?

Buddy has them and i used them. Went home and bought them after shooting his. Have not installed them yet as my barrel has no front dove-tail and it is threaded so I do not want to use their adapter.

I'm bumpin' a very old thready, but how did you determine whether to get the TSR-100 or TSR-200?

did you go to the websight? they compare the two there. one set mimics an m16a1 with elevation adjustments done on the front, windage on the back and two rear apertures. the other uses an m16 front post but has a single rear aperture with both windage and elevation adjustments on the rear sight. just pick which one do you want. they both fit the 10/22.

I have the 100 model and I like it but I prefer an A2 rear peep with one large and one small aperture. it looks like they used a standard peep for the m16 family so I may buy and A2 rear and swap. if you don't care for the flip sight then get the 200 with the fully adjustable rear.

left is the 100 right is the 200. the tick marks have been highlighted for the pic

an added benefit for me was that the factory sight were just too low and I had a hard time getting my cheek low enough on the stock to align them. the techs are the perfect height for me. between the sights and a volquartzen hammer to reduce trigger weight my 10/22 will do ~1" at 50 yards with federal bulk pack off a bag rest. I've got no other mods and still have the barrel band. just peeps and a 2.5# trigger pull.

Thanks. Yes, I read the website, however I'm a newbie and this is new to me. I'm still learning the terms, etc. I thought I read somewhere that one of these is better for shooting at < 25-yards, but once you set it that way, you can not sight anything at 100-yards.

Most of my shooting is indoors at a range, at 25-yards maximum. That being said, I'd still want it be be functional at greater distances like 100+ yards.

Although I bought the high-end model, the elevating wheel is too small to turn without a tool - I might have gone for the low-end one and settled for the two-position thing.
