Anyone Know where I can get a PeriScope?

I played lasertag yesterday for the first time - it was a hoot. But paintball would be more fun I'm sure. The devil is going to be in the precise placement of the mirrors in the tube at 45 degrees, and what to hold them in place with.... Easier to buy one seems to me, esp for your purpose soda, b/c u want something very small and thus easily camoflauged - the smaller one u try to make, the harder to get the mirror to set right.....

You paintball guys, tell me something - I've never been. Do you have select-fire guns??? How much are they? I hear they can be up to $2,000. Any links to pics? Please tell me it's not that much fun, and I don't need to try it. I REALLY don't need to be spending money on yet another hobby - but a select-fire paintball gun sounds like a kick in the pants. U guys play capture the flag or last man standing primarily???

Before I come next Sunday...

...what the heck are you going to DO with that periscope, Sodapop?

And those sandbags?

And that 104? :o

PdModerator- What sand Bags and what 104? What are you talking about?

Futo Inu- I'm not Paintball expert, I've only played twice in the last year. We played all kinds of games, capture the flag, Kill the Taliban.

You really don't need to over complicate things playing Paintball. Running and Hiding means more in the game than your weapon. You get a little more accuracy and power out of a longer barrel. But, I don't think you really need to spend more than $600 for a fancy paintball gun. Most people I know that own their's are under $250. I've heard a lot of bad things about Full Auto paint guns because the CO2 tends to freeze things up inside. I have spent close to $100 a day playing and I can't conceive of how much I would spend on Paintballs if I had a Full auto or Select fire gun.

Full auto Paintball guns can cost in the thousands.

:o :D OK I got it now. Sorry I've been getting pretty defensive lately due to the amount of Flak I've been taking for some of My posts. I didn't catch on;)

I bought an AT-85 automatic paintball gun. When I bought it, it cost about $550, plus $~80 for accessories (more magazines - instead of a hopper, it feeds from 60 round forearms and a 20 round magazine!), and $300 for a HPA system. So it comes out close to $1k.

It's definately a hoot - the AT-85 is a very unique paintball gun (some police agencies use it to deliver pepperballs which are basically paintballs with pepper-spray fluid inside of them).

Unfortunately, since I live at 5300 feet and play at over 7000 feet, the AT-85 seemed to have problems coping with the high altitude. I never got to play an actual game with it.

In case you're interested, I am offering the marker, the forearms, instructions, etc, for $300 :) Even if it doesn't work, ATS says that they will fix it to working performance for $30; that's a pretty good savings over a brand new one.
