ANYONE KNOW WHAT KIND OF GUN HITLER USED TO COMMIT SUICIDE?

I tend to agree badgerarms.

Ledbetter - you are hereby banned from saying anything derogatory about anyone by linking their name, be it good or bad, to that of Janet Rrrr.. uh er, Reee, .... Rennnnn.... Damn! I can't bring myself to mention his/her name. Go ahead and say anything you please!

As for Mississippi, some of my best friends live there (Winona, MS). If you have a chance to visit the state, you will find the people there just about as friendly a bunch as any you'll find anywhere. Since nobody's really bashing the state, we'll refrain from any banishments today.

I hereby apologize of my own free will and retract the aforementioned statement which was indeed, as Battler pointed out, derogatory toward a certain historical figure, and hereby undertake not to repeat in the future such impertinent and ill-considered remarks or comparisons to attorneys general, coyotes, lizards, cockroaches or liberal democrats. Really.

Regards,

Ledbetter

Most people move to the deep south, places like Missippi, to get away from people like Reno and Clinton. Their types cant survive in an atmosphere permeated w/ common sense and morality.

One thing they have in common w/ , though, they know if you're going to tell a lie, then tell a BIG LIE and people will be more likely to believe it. Still works does'nt it?

C'mon. You got the story wrong too. He tried to shoot himself with the Colt but it missed his head the first shot (yes, at point blank range). Unfortunately, it jammed after that and he had to go with is backup gun.

And thanks, led, for your sincere apology.

Slightly off-topic, but in John Toland's "Hitler: the pictorial documentary of his life" there is a picture of Hitler's pistol permit from Bavaria, 1921. Don't know if he got to keep it after trying to overthrow the government in 1923.
