I just got my first gun thru an online gun auction site and it worked out well. I ordered a Ruger .44 mag stainless Bisley thru a dealer on Gunbroker.com. I contacted the dealer on Tues. -overnighted a signed FFL and a postal money order on Wed and he got it Thurs and I picked up the Ruger from my dealer today- Monday. The dealer I got it from sent the piece thru US mail (I think only FFL dealers can leaglly use the US postal service to ship firearms) and actually the gun arrived Saturday at my dealer. I was nervous as hell sending 400 plus bucks to an out of state dealer to say the least. Call me old fashioned but I am used to gun shows and dealers and actually seeing the gun before I buy it. But this worked out and the gun was as promised NIB and the deal went good. I read all the feedback from past customers and this guy had one semi-negative review out of something like 60 or 70 purcahsers so I felt a little better about doing business with him. I would do it again in the future especially if it a gun I can't find around here or I just can't wait until the next gunshow and the dealer has a good track record.
