Jerry Miculek used a PC 627 V-comp 8-shot .357 magnum (thatsa my gun!) and a 625 .45 acp revolver for his records. Both use moonclips.
Jim--moonclips are brass sensitive. That is, they have a specific cut that fits some brass better than others. Bob Miles supplies moonclips to S&W and recommends R-P or Federal. Federal actually is steadier. Speer is very loose and dangles. Some PMC does well, too, but is inconsistent.
