anyone ever clean parts in a dishwasher?

Oops, I know some chemistry(got through O-chem), I don't know why I didn't think of the lead(+other chemicals) hazard. That is a very good point! And I hope all other readers think of that before trying this.

It seems from these posts that:
IF One had an old dishwasher dedicated soley to the purpose of cleaning parts I guess it might be a feasible solution to aid those with disabilities (vision/arthritis/etc.) or those that have to clean lots of guns fast to get their guns clean. It could also be helpful to those whom have skin that is sensitive to regular gun cleaning solvents.

I still do mine by hand, one at a time, the old fashioned way but I was curious. Thank all of you for your Ideas and Comments. I was happy to see this thread live so long. -ddt

:DAn old rocker with stuffed hearing !...Well you got me there! :D

Found it. The song was In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida. Yep that’s how it’s spelled.
The band was (believe it or not)
Iron Butterfly.

The title is Anna gadda da vitta, but he is singing "In the garden of eden honey won't you please take my hand...." This is a classic rock and roll story. The guy took a couple of ludes before recording so it just sounds like anna gadda da vitta. I thought everyone knew this story. -ddt
