Anyone else like Top Shot?

I enjoyed the shows and watched both seasons. There is the obvious drama, but I enjoy that to some degree (someone to root against, ie: George). They chose interesting guns and interesting challenges for the most part. I will watch the next season as well.
My only complaint is that I can shoot better than half the contestants, :D.

I also think the show paints shooters in a mostly positive light, unlike Sons of Guns (which I refuse to watch).

tell me about it most of them dont shoot all that well some get lucky here and there on the big scale they dont

but it is a show

I never watched Top Shot, but I may try to
see the new season thats starting.

As someone already mentioned above I don't
care too much for Sons of Guns.

The only thing I have found remotely interesting
was a series on snipers that the Discovery Channel
had..

I do like seeing some of the neat guns in action. My problem is these guys are supposed to be real good at their hobbies, but some of them look out of place with some of the weaponry. I saw one episode where they were to shoot plates with an AR-15/M4. Some of them looked like monkeys doing a math problem. You can take a street punk from NYC with no shooting experience and 30 seconds later teach them how to operate it. The Army does it all the time. I went to a Renassance fair one time and paid a dollar to throw axes. Hit the target with the third one.

I'd like to get some exploding targets too.:D

I like it. Some of the shooting challenges look like a lot of fun. It makes me wish there was a gun club around that setup shoots like that.

I've "heard" that one of the former contestants is going to set up some sort of Top Shot shooting range, where shooting challenges from the show are set up, and you can try your hand at them. I wonder why Disneyland hasn't already done that????

The last one degenerated into catty nonsense pretty quick. I dont think I will waste anymore tim on the show.

The host commentating on the guys when they are actually shooting seems almost like heckling after a while , irrating enough that I don't really make it a point to watch.

History has a Top Shot Marathon running all day today. Just saying

I tuned in and watched this one...well about half of it until another
movie came on that grabbed my attention. :D

Thought it was pretty interesting. There was some drama but, there
has too be a little of this sort of thing in a reality based show.

To apply, email TopShotCasting@gmail.com with your name, city/state, phone number, a recent photo of yourself and a brief explanation of why you should be on the show.

I about applied for a spot no lie last year until my oldest decided that he was going to marry a gal he had been seeing for six months (sucker) and trials were to be held during the time he was going to get married. So guess who lost that battle. but if anyone else here could do it more power to them.

Watched the first two seasons with great interest and even got my wife interested; now she makes sure it's on our recording list and we watch it religiously ... I agree that there's too much filler, probably because that's the bread and butter of most reality shows ... and I'm frequently surprised that the show's collection of crack marksmen and women can't perform fairly simple shooting tasks ... I could live without the ax throwing and that sort of stuff, but in general a pretty good show ...

watched the new one the other day and like the first seasons they have maybe 6 or 7 ok shooters and a bunch of phoneys to make it dramatic

I have watched the show since the first show. I find it mildly interesting and it draws some viewers who are not shooters.

It casts shooters and shooting in a positive light. I think it’s good PR for us.
