Anyone else like a little color on their semi-auto pistol?

The Hogue anodized aluminum grips have a great feel and are thinner than the factory wood or rubber.

With a P226 it's like lipstick on a pig, but I get a real kick out of the blue color.

I am a little more conservative. Here are a couple of colors I like. At least you and I agree on a good pistol not withstanding the color. :)

NO!
I don't even like the tans, and greens on some polymer framed pistols. Then there's the ridiculous pinks, purples, blues, and Zombie greens.

well......it's KIND of a semi-auto pistol, just with a super long barrel. but this is my wife's hi-point(don't laugh, she could have any gun she wants, and she wants the hi-point)
. my wifey is a girly girl 100%, and that's how I like it. shes pretty, fashionable and likes to look "cutsey". she was dying for the gold/nickel plated pietta at cabelas, but they sold out:(. as soon as her 9mm AR pistol is done, she wants a dark brown marbled color with the mirrored little "C's" all over it.....you know, so it looks like a Coach purse:eek: but hey, whatever gets her out blasting, ill do it. I personally have some FDE on a rifle, but nothing crazy. my tristar blue is peeling off the alloy frame and I may do some kind of dark gray or something, haven't decided yet

Just for the heck of it,,,

Just for the heck of it,,,
I decided to get a few colored polymers.

I take a bit of good-natured ribbing at the range,,,
But since I outshoot most of my friends,,,
They don't tease me too badly.

I would trade Evelyn (the LCP) for an OD one in a heartbeat.

The sand colored finish on the M-45 pistols by Colt for the boys in the Marine Raiders makes me giddy like a school boy.

I also like the green finish on various Glock models.

However, the Ladyfriend once told me that if I ever got her a pink gun she'd shoot me with it and then pawn it.

But that doesn't stop her and my sisters from buying any type of ancillary gear, like gun cases, range bags, ear muffs, etc. if it comes in pink.

It looks like some one nuked a Ranger Joes and Victoria Secret with the resulting slag pile winding up in my basement.

Once went with a Rainbow Titanium Sig P232, a big difference from the standard color. I caught a lot of ribbing and "funny" comments for it. I honestly thought it was attractive, (in a manly sort of way). :o

Hey skizzums,,,

Where/How did you get that coloring for the Hi-Point,,,
Since mine is merely a range toy/house gun,,,
I wouldn't mind doing something like that.

My handguns are all pretty basic and I prefer them that way. However, my Tavor is black and I would REALLY like to make it a bit more "girly" looking but using the color red since that seems to be my trademark for things (couple of OWB holsters and mag pouch, mag floor plates, written on my mags, range gear, hair color, etc)

Not a lot of color splash in my safe. Got some RED grips for my PT1911. But they didn't stay on long. Currently wears the white Holly wooden grips. And I did at one time have a green Springfield GI.

Ha don't sweat it PSP! I also like the titanium finish. I was close to getting a 238 in it but I sort of avoid .380s due to cost.

I've admired some really awesome color schemes in the cerakote gallery. That blue grip is awesome, and the pic Viper posted is drool worthy and a half. I have an AR that I have in a variety of dark grays that I'm quite fond of, but for the most part I don't do color on my guns- It would be hard to get people to take me seriously as an instructor and competitor if I busted out something too flamboyant probably. But I see it like a car- you know what you want in terms of size, functionality, price range etc, but that doesn't mean it can't be pretty too!

I've got a brown and a green Glock. Nothing against black, but every now and then some other color is a nice change. I have several rifles in McMillan stocks, one is black, the rest are green, or gray.
