Anyone Else "Done" With Striker Fired Auto'

I've tried Glock, Smith, Walther, H&K, etc. etc. Owned a bunch of them, the Glocks going back to the early 1990s.

Still went back to 1911s, Beretta 90 series and DA revolvers.

I'm just incapable of progressing.

It's finally an LEM setup that I actually like. I've tried normal light LEM many times and it didn't work well for me. This one seems to provide just enough resistance that it really seems to stabilize the gun.

Did you ever try the LEM 4.1 kits that came out this year? I've been thinking of picking one up and trying it in my V3 P2000 just for kicks.

Additionally, the rubberized Talon Grips, when properly applied with heat, are also rock solid, even when sweating on them all day in the Phoenix heat. No peeling or anything(so far).

Yea big fan of these on the HK45c and I have them on the P2000 too as they find they add just a tiny bit of girth that helps.

I've seen them, but neither my P2000 or P30L are LEM, so I would have to get both the LEM parts as well as the 4.1 kit. I've heard it's pretty nice though.

I was, until i handled and researched the walther ppq m2. Boy do i miss that pistol. Best striker gun available. In my respectable yet skewed opinion

Not even beginning to be "done" with striker fired pistols.

After many years, I am (mostly) done with Glocks, however.

Right now, the M&P40, M&P40C, and a few Sig P320s are my top choices in carry guns. The triggers on striker fired guns have gotten really good of late. I love 'em!

P320 goodness-full size

Tack driver with an awesome trigger. This pistol makes accurate shooting really easy.

Almost forgot the M&P45C... great .45 carry gun. Swapping in an Apex sear and striker block gave it a magnificent trigger pull.

Yea I'm with the guys that could care less about hammer vs striker. If I like/want it I'll buy it.
Gotta say though I'm a bit more of a fan of the consistent DAO pull

DHart is that "Full Mag" marking on your target for the grouping you're showing or the one above the text?

"P320 Full Size, Mag 3" meaning Full Size frame (I also have Carry and Compact frames), Magazine #3 was so that I would know which of the different handloads that I was testing that day were used on which target. That notation applies to the target that you see.

Gotcha. Great shooting by the way.

Out of curiosity, have you had the "two click phenomenon" with your P320 at all? By this I mean if you slowly press the trigger to the rear instead of a single click you can actually hear and feel two clicks. The first older P320 I had never did this and one I had a number of months back did do it and it was a bit annoying. If you Google "P320 two clicks" you'll find some people talking about it.

TR... Thank you. The full size models (I have two full size - one in 40 and one in 9mm) are total tack drivers. As accurate as my most accurate 1911s, probably more so.

I have three complete P320s (and 1 Caliber X-change kit), all purchased within the last month or so - I'm pretty sure they're all recent production. No two-click going on with any of them.

That's great. I am sorely tempted to pick up another one. Besides the fact that I liked it too, I found when I went shooting with others they did very well with it, more so than my other pistols. I think it will continue to be successful for SIG.

I have one striker, Springfield xd 40, not a bad gun by any means, I just have not ever warmed up to it. Makes a good truck gun though.

Yeah. I get the impression that SIG is producing P320s like crazy to meet the demand. I think the P320 will have a long and very successful run.

Me too. I even like 1911's and SA revolvers. Maybe it's just that I'm old. A striker-fired plastic pistol just seems weird in my hand. I have owned a few and they never felt right/good to me.

Never purchased a striker fired gun. Was traded a PPQ in 9mm. Nice pistol with the best trigger on a striker fired gun that I ever shot.

I have no desire to own or use any striker fired gun. I prefer hammer fired TDA guns, but then I came up on revolvers and know how to shoot and work a trigger.

I avoid plastic guns too.......until I shot the HK P30. I will own one of those. :) Regards 18DAI

As someone that learned on a Model 13 and a Model 19, I like to think I also know how to shoot and work a trigger. I still carry a Glock.

And, as someone who came up learning to shoot a S&W Model 28 in 1971, followed by dozens of other revolvers during the decades that followed, I think I too have developed some pretty good skills with triggers. Today, my carry guns are Sig P320s and M&Ps.

Yup, my sentiments exactly. ;)
