I mean, they're so LOUD when you pull the trigger while they're LOADED!
And it costs money to shoot ammunition.

Much quieter and much cheaper to own guns if you never load 'em.

I never realized the benefits until I read this post! No need to clean them. Lighter to carry. You don't even need to carry! No more hours and hours of pouring over forum threads deciding which ammo, caliber, size of gun, size of magazine, pocket carry, holster carry, striker fired, cocked and locked ... As Lt. Dan would say: "Gump, you're a Go@#*&n genius!"

Well, really- scare's the cat, makes the goldfish nervous, neighbors call the cops, insurance rates go up, causes that nasty ringing in the ears, and there's that whole lead exposure thing...

Finally a "done with" thread I like! :D

I could save a good bit of time and cash by not loading my guns. I will have to think about it...;)

seeing how many done threads there are, it's a wonder most of those originators have anything left to shoot since they're "done" with just about everything.

done with single actions, done with 1911s, done with doublestacks, done with DA revolvers, paired with the how many times do you smack the mag, rack the slide and press check(whatever the heck that is) it's a wonder the few guns they still use are all in one piece.

Yeah, and added to all that look how long a gun will LAST if you NEVER load it!!!!!!

You can quit dumping thousands into 1911s & just buy a couple Lorcins.
Don't load 'em, they'll never wear out!

Much of things related to leisure have been on a down hill tumble for the longest time. Cabela's being bought by Bass Pro, consolidation, is not a good thing. :(

Love it boys, Love it!!! I also apologize sincerely for never having anything useful to add to threads here. Shucks

You could sell your entire reloading set-up on Ebay, and spend the hard cash on more serious stuff.
Like bourbon.

Bourbon's always a good thing to get loaded with. :D

You folks should be able to sell your firearms and loading equipment. You can then buy knitting needles and yarn to start doing your own socks and gifts for Christmas, birthdays and other occasions.

Once you get proficient at knitting, you can watch reality shows and knit at the same time. I think you fellas are onto something.

I have little to no interest in your concern for noise abatement/pollution since I am already a Costco Hearing Aid customer. I will stay with the shooting hobby.

It was nice reading your past post. ;)

The knitting forum might be a tad more interesting than some of the reason post on this forum.

With expected government regulation on knitting needles proposed by Hillary, should she ascend the throne, that pathway involves its own hazards & frustrations.

Besides the mandatory knitting needle safety courses, government-approved storage, and licensing hoops to jump through, there's always the tedious process of selecting the right size needle, the appropriate colors, which material (wood, plastic, alloy), and the possibility of self-injury in handling small pointy things.

And that's not even getting into the whole yarn thing.

FireArm Relief of Texas now offering gun owners a free service

Just saw this:

October 9, 2016 UPN Wire

FireArm Relief of Texas announced today their program to save gun owners significant money, by housing their weapons for them, sending them videos of their weapons being lovingly fired in both the first and third person, and a 24/7 live stream of storage and cleaning. Further, William Robert Baydas (Billy Bob), president of the association, noted numerous gun owners complained about the loudness of their weapons and offers a free silencer to the owners that requires no BATFE stamp or wait. "It's easy, he noted, for the noise sensitive owners, we just cut the audio down by 20 dB on the live feeds, they never knew their guns could be so quiet. Not only do we save them money, we save their ears and shoulders too for one low monthly fee."

Interested parties should contact Billy Bob @ Fart.com.

Always somebody looking for innovative ways to make a buck off the gun world.
It could actually fly.

Not at all. This is the "done with" thread to end all "done with" threads. If the other thread posters followed DPris' innovative idea, those threads would never have had to be made! It's brilliant!

Dennis I have considered your excellent suggestions. I have decided that with the little money/time I have left I will continue to feed my firearms regularly. Thanks for the well thought out thread.:)
