I cannot. I work at a nuclear power plant. No guns allowed except by the security force. Everyone on site is subject to search at any time. X-ray, nitrate sniffers just to get into the place. This place is an anti-gunners heaven.

Can't carry in Illinois. Plus, where I work, you definately can't carry. At least not inside the walls. It wouldn't be good if an inmate knocked you down and took your gun.

Firearms are verbotten at my place of employment as well, "higher education". Still, I started carrying an AMT sa .380 in a pocket holster, at work anyway when an alcoholic administrator fixated all his wrath on my female supervisor who refused to bow down and "kiss his arse". His activities became worse and he started stalking her. She WAS a vehament Anti, until this and then started packing a Glock 23. She moved to another state. He was then fired a year later, for you guessed it, stalking another female employee...

houndawg, it must be great to be able to completely relax where you work. You probably stroll around in condition white all the time, completely comfortable knowing that since there are no guns there is no violence in the 'closed society'. We all know from the anti's that since guns are the source of violence there must not be any where you work.

Jeff, my read is that Houndawg works in a prison, er, detention facility.

I work in the aerospace industry for a family owned business. We have fourty employees at my facilty, and six of us carry everyday.

Right now, our general manager has a 1911 on his hip, Desert Eagle .44 in his desk drawer and a Daewoo .223 in the locked cabinet by his desk.

Chief inspector has a Colt .45 and a AR-15 in his office. Line maintenance tech has a Taurus .38 Special. One of our secretaries carries a llama .380 everyday.

My daily work carry is a Glock 30 with a M1 Carbine for backup.

We work in a very bad neighborhood. Our street in particular, has a very bad drug problem. Yet, we have not had a serious problem with any of the "locals". Maybe cause we like to clean our guns on the table outside the shop....one peek at the hardware the staff has is enough of a deterrent I suppose.

I work at a call center for AT&T and I am 19. Washington State law says that I can have it concealed at my home and fixed place of business ( which means I can legaly carry at work )
After I buy my Sig Pro .40 soon

I will carry at work. My leather jacket has a huge inner pocket, a good 10 inches deep and you can barely notice any bulge.

I am not even going to ask if I can or can't carry the state says that I can and so does the second amendment.
