You have to be there when it's all over. Otherwise you can't say "I told you so."

Better days to be,

I think this would be a good time to hold the "Dry-fire" conversations since I'm sure everyone was excercising their firearms during certain portions of the debate. ;)

Actually Terri removed all of the guns from the living room before the debate began. As anyone that has been in my living room can appreciate this took her a couple of hours but the pay off was worth the effort. The family televison is still intact. ;)

Yes, he was wearing make up. He looked to a cross between a poorly made up cadaver prepeared by a half blind mortician with a substance abuse problem and Tammy Fay Baker after a tent revival gone horribly awry.

I like the way Bush walked over to gore's side of the stage when they first came out. This seemed to piss gore off, kind of like how dare that spunky guy from Texas try to encroach on the alpha male.

I think that this put gore in a bad mood for the first half hour.

Has anyone noticed this man has guaranteed everyone unconditionally everything under the sun!

Free healthcare, free drugs, free money, to cure all diseases, end hunger worldwide and to raise every child in America as if it was his own!
God people this man is a lie-a-minute, load bearing, veritable psycho.

Just a little observation folks. I was on ABC's web site during the debate. Their running online poll had Bush winning the debate 58% to 41% during the entire debate. Our local ABC affiliate in Philly also had a running online poll, which again showed Bush up 58% to 41%.

YET, after the debate, WPVI (Philly) reported that the online poll showed that GORE had won, something like 48% to 46%. How can this be, when for the entire evening, Bush was winning by a landslide?!!! They also stated that they couldn't release the numbers till the end of the local newscast, as they had to "Tally" the numbers. Tally the numbers of an instant online poll?!!! More like "cook" the numbers.

I also watched ABC Nightline, and they didn't even mention the poll once. All they referred to, was that their online poll showed that the debate didn't change anyone's mind. Huhhh? What a bunch of blatant liars! OK, vent mode off.....

Go to (vote.com) Gore 16%, Bush 84%. I was surprised that the talking heads said Gore was too aggressive.
Yes, Gore did look a lot like an over made up cadaver. Could it be that the Frankenstien monster lives?
Paul B.

He wants to go after drug companies with his Medicare plans...yea that's going to do wonders for their stock price.

Yep. I noticed that also. Wasn't it Carter that tried to do the same thing? It's sad to note that I have pretty much accepted a few "stinkers" as far as campaign promises ( Read my lips,,,being one of them), but ALL of Gore's campaign promises are unkeepable. I haven't heard or read one thing that he has said that could realisticly work.

I like the fact that George W. repeatedly reffered to their general political philosiphies; who runs your life? The Government or you?
Gore had no comeback. He realy thinks that FedGov is the only entity that can be trusted with your money and your childrens' educational choices.
Gore is so clearly a neo-stalinist.
Also note that Gore wouldn't deny his desire to continue putting our troops into local conflicts all over the world, but down-played our need to upgrade the military by repeating that our military is the best in the world.
So with Gore, our troops will continue to be strung out all over the globe while China breaths down our neck.
How anyone can vote for this leftist-statist, I can't imagine.

After the debate, ABC interviewed a group of "undecided" voters in one of their studios in Florida. Many of these people had voted for Clinton in '96. A couple of folks had decided to vote for Gore, but the majority seemed to now be leaning toward Bush. ABC promised to reveal numbers on who this test group where now voting for, but never mentioned the group again. I wonder why.

On ABC, when they showed both candidates on a split screen, Gore had good color, but Bush had a red tint, and the camera on him bounced around a lot. ABC also seemed to take great delight in showing Gore laughing and smirking while Bush was talking.

I'm watching WPVI (ABC in Philly), and they just made a blanket statement that "national polls showed that Gore won". All the polls I see show Bush winning. Strange....

My family once thought that I was paranoid, but after seeing the way the media has reported this debate, they now believe.

One thing I noticed about Gore that really annoyed me was the breathy sighs he would emit whenever Bush would say something he didn`t agree with.He was doing it throughout the entire debate. Can you imagine him doing that during a summit of world leaders?

Every time I see Gore on TV, I end up thinking of that sci-fi series from the 80's called "V" when the aliens peeled off their human-masks to reveal their true reptilian identities.

But I'm not biased or anything :D
