Any lever action fans out there?

I absolutely love my W94.

Looking to get a couple more in .44 magnum and .357 magnum.

Have to go with the 336C in 35 Remington.

I have a Henry Frontier Octagon in .22lr and it's probably my most favorite to shoot. It has roughly 8k rounds through it already.

I have one Marlin 336 that I use as a boat gun, since I replaced the stocks with synthethic ones and it was a pawn-store "save". Shoots very well and is a keeper. I used to have a Winchester 94AE in 44 Mag but sold it back when I needed to reduce the size of the armory. The Marlins are awesome!

Very nice thread, I have to say since I started it. Honestly, I never put a lot of stock in lever guns, solely shot bolt actions my whole life. And I've been out of the loop for the past 15 yrs. or so, starting a family and paying bills. This gun is my wifes gun, she claimed it once she figured out how much fun it was to shoot, and she picked it out when we were gun shopping. I have to say I'm very impressed with the way it performed, as well if not better than most 30.06's I've ever owned, and there have been a few of those. Plus it's light, so it's definitely going into the woods this fall. Is it wrong to get 'Buck fever' in the middle of spring?

I have a 357 magnum lever action and two 45/70 lever actions (all Marlins)

the 357 is a great gun for Coyotes and the 45/70s work for any thing in the western hemisphere.

I like lever actions a lot.
Winchester 94-.30-30
Marlin 30AS-.30-30
Rossi 92-.357
Rossi 92-.44 mag.
Marlin 1897 Deluxe made in 1899
Marlin Century Limited 39-.22
Marlin Century Limited 39 that is totally engraved with gold inlays.

Savage 99-308
Marlin 1889-.44-40
Marlin 1893-.38-55
Marlin Guide Gun stainless .45-70
Yup, I like em!!!!!!

My very first centerfire rifle was a model 94 in 30-30 back in 1973. I still have it and shoot it. Then came a model 94 AE in .307 Win. Then a Marlin 1895 in 45-70. Later on, I went a little less traditional and got a Browning BLR in 7 MM Mag. The most recent is another Browning BLR in .325 WSM.

Yeah, I have several bolt action rifles and they shoot a bit more accurately from the bench than the lever actions do. But the Lever actions just feel right to me. Especially that first 30-30. And they all shoot good enough. My eyes are getting to the point where I can't shoot the open sights very well past 100 yards, but I won't put a scope on the 30-30 or 45-70. It just doesn't look right. But I have really good scopes on the BLRs and they shoot about as well as any bolt rifle.

Hi folks, new to the forum, figured that one of my favorite topics would be good for a first post here. :)

My lever collection:
Winchester 88 .284 Win. (pre-64)
Winchester 88 carbine .308 Win.
Winchester 94 .356 Win.
Marlin 336 .44 Mag

The Win 88 .308 (replacing my 700 '06) is what I'll be taking out for deer this fall.

Thanks for all the pics, I'll see about taking (& uploading) some pics & posting them ...

I have a Henry Goldenboy in 22 mag and a Marlin 338 Marlin express. I love both of them. I have other rifles that are awesome, but I plan to get more levers. They shoot great and are very fun.

lever actions

my favorites are lever actions and break action single shots. It is my personal opinion that putting a scope on a lever action is like putting a saddle on a hog.

Don't much care about leverguns, no idea why they keep following me home. Trappers are in 45 Colt and 30-30, XTR is a .375 Big Bore. The saddled hogs on the right are Marlins; a 336 in 35 Rem and of course my Guide Gun in 45-70. ;)

My only Marlin right now is a .45-70 Guide Gun in stainless. I hope to use it on some wild hogs in Florida sometime soon.

The only other levergun I have is a Browning BLR in .308 Winchester, which I have no intention of ever letting go.

Yup, don't forget the Browning BLR. I've got 2 Marlin 1894s in .44Mag, but my BLR in .308 is the Cadillac of lever guns. The lock-up action is very strong and gives it bolt action accuracy. My favorite deer gun. My uncle favors his Marlin 336 but I like the .308 over 30-30 for deer and any hunting over 100 yards. Under 100 yards is Marlin .44Mag territory.

BLR's are indeed the class of the class, Upstate. They're beautiful, they're accurate, they shoot modern cartridges. Still rather look at my Winchesters but BLR's are pretty awesome.

You reminded me - I showed my Winchester lever guns and forgot the little princess - my Browning BL22 -

I mounted a Williams FPGR that hooks onto to the scope grooves - doesn't stick out as much as the pic looks like in reality

And, very few rifles are more fun to shoot.
